Hey all.
Good to be here.
I was wondering if there are any special methods that would be preferable for storing pg vg and/ or flavors.. i.e. hot climate or cold or in light or darkness etc... is there some way that would increase their life extendancy if they even have one etc... (as for nicotine i allready know its best if placed in the freezer)
Would appreciate some reliable knowledge from anyone.
Thx

I store my PG and VG in a cool basement while flavorings are kept in a box the fridge.
ditto. pg/vg is in the cool dark basement, nic stash in the freezer (120 ml working bottle out, in cool dark basement cabinet) and Real Flavor's Super Concentrates stay in the dedicated mini fridge when not in the middle of a mix.

I store my VG/PG in my closet. I keep my flavors in the fridge although I have heard from experienced DIY that this is not necessary, and it can actually be preferable to store at room temp, but "room temp" in Tucson is pretty hot. So, I decided to use the fridge for my flavors, but I think my house is usually cool enough to keep my VG/PG out, I just keep it dark and try for as cool as I can get. They really don't need to be refrigerated at normal temperatures I just worry a bit about my flavors.

I am not sure what the more popular flavor makers suggest but Walt from RF said his super concentrates have a shelf life of 12 - 18 months at 'room temp' and 3 - 4 years if stored in a fridge. He also said they should never be froze as some can separate and become unusable.

I store my flavors in cabinets. As long as they dont get direct sunlight thats all thats needed. If you bought enough flavoring to worry about it going bad then you bought to much. 4oz bottles is as big as I ever buy. Keeping PG and VG in a dark place is fine. I shake my nic and transfer it to 4oz bottles and store in the freezer. That size is about right to un-thaw and use before it can degrade.

Thanks for the info @Fozzy71 ! That's good to know, and I'm glad I'm storing mine in the fridge with a bit of "that may be the right thing to do" now included. It didn't really make sense to me that refrigerating flavors would damage them, but I can see how freezing them might, especially with repeated "thaws" and refreezes in any case.... That just seemed unwise although I really don't know that much about flavors, how they are manufactured and what from, etc. But it's good to know I can safely leave them there with even perhaps an expectation of greater shelf life. Especially since flavors are one thing it's so easy/fun to pick up lots of. I'm on flavor moratorium though until I've mixed with every flavor I have now.... But, I'm sure I will, in the future. LOL.

ditto, though I have at least tested every flavor I have. I have a ton more I want to get/try but with nearly 70 bottles of RF in the fridge I am forcing myself not to buy more until I at least run out of one flavor. I think my last flavoring order was April 2017 and I still got all this:

Ditto for me, on what @dc99 does, except my flavorings are kept in several organizer boxes instead of cabinets.
Believe it or not I use a couple of plastic cabinets from wally world with slide out drawers. I have smaller trays in the drawers separating the brands and separating in alphabetical order. Hey, it works and it was pretty cheap

My flavorings goal is a wine fridge or maybe a full size fridge with some sort of slide out shelves/trays in. Finding the handful of flavors I need to mix with from a mini fridge on the floor is no fun.

Find a small cabinet to store empty bottles and so on and set the fridge on top of it. I see from your pic that you are a real flavors fan. They have there 10ml freebies on there site.

yeah, I need to re-organize in the basement and get that fridge up on something. That fridge is all RF except for one bottle. I am not ordering any new flavors until I run dry on at least one flavor. looks like they only sell 4oz and larger, other than those samples, and left all the 30ml sales to the flavor vendors and amazon, etc.

I still got an assortment of non RF concentrates, some of which need to go in the fridge, I am trying to use up as well. Just mixed 600ml yesterday so now I have 2 liters of juice steeping in addition to what I am vaping:

+1 for "cool & dark."
My solution happens to be a an unused self in the linen closet. Closet is in the middle of the house (no outside walls = no added heat)(low shelf; lower temp). Concentrates are on a cookie sheet, in alphabetical order, and rows are kept separate with strips of craft foam board (cut low enough the labels remain visible). The tray is nearly full, with just over 300 different concentrates; varying from 10mL to 30mL bottle sizes. (the handful of 4oz. bottles I have are in a shoe box on the next shelf; along with my PG and VG gallons):

For almost 5 years all of my DIY supplies have been kept in cold storage (AKA mostly on the bottom shelves of a refrigerator) in Boston amber or cobalt glass bottles. Not frozen, just kept at a 'controlled cool' (AKA a way of life when you live on a true desert). I don't use nic in my DIY... so this includes my VG, PG, store bought flavors, the flavor extractions and recipe concentrates I make myself and the currant 120ml/250ml batches that I am vaping from that refill 30ml dispenser bottles. I use a hellofalotof of joose vaping 20+ hours per day, so the batches and some ingredients are used up fast. When I buy my base ingredients I buy a 2-3 year supply. They have always remained viable until I use them, I've never had to toss anything out because it spoiled, etc. I use a stir plate to mix my concoctions... and give the extractions/concentrates another short stir again before I mix new batches with them for vaping, then the batch itself also goes on the stir plate.

+2 on what @dc99 does..

I keep my flavors in the cabinet above the kitchen sink and my VG in the lower cabinet next to the kitchen sink...

I do see why where you live might have something to do with that though. .. I live in the mountains and here "hot" is 85 degrees, and I use air conditioning anyway (because lets face it, even 80 degrees is hot) so even when I'm baking my kitchen doesn't get overly hot in summer, nor overly warm in winter.

80 degrees is time to make sure the furnace is working properly. :D
