How to use an ultrasonic cleaner on copper mech mods?

The contacts on my copper mech are a bit dirty. I just got my ultra sonic cleaner and I want to use it on my XXIX mech. I don't mind the patina but I just wanna clean it and get the contacts cleaned along with it. Do I just put the whole thing in and put warm water + dishwasher soap?

Also I just got an atty in the mail. It's a stainless steel atty, do I fill up the ultrasonic tank with 70% isopropyl alchohol and just turn it on while the atty is in there?

I don't know about any UC, but as a brewer I deal with a lot of copper & stainless steel. Barkeepers Friend, all the way. Works wonders, just keep it away from aluminum.

You can use a few different items from around a typical kitchen. Mildly acidic, like vinegar or lemon juice. If cleaning by hand ketchup works also. Just clean for a few minutes then wash with a bit of soapy water to neutralize the acid then a final rinse with clean water.

Once you have it clean if you want to let it patina, you'll want something that will keep the threads from oxidizing again. I'll recommend No-ox-id.
