First for me was disposeable njoy , then blu, then starburst. Now I'm using a ego t 1300 mah with ce4 clearomizers. Some pros would be great battery life, awesome vapor production and good flavor. Cons would be the occasional leaking through the tip and bottom. Vaped so far mountain dew, blueberry, pink spot, watermelon. Looking to get more juices :)

Welcome to the forum. I was a 3-4 pack a day smoker. I told myself I would smoke an analog whenever I wanted. I ended up only having a few a day the first 4-5 days. Now I have 9 days without a cigarette. I have a provari mini with cartomizer tanks from ibtanked. They work well. I tried a iclear clearomizer it made good vapor, but leaked no matter what I did. So cartos only for now. I was happy vaping from the beginning. Never did tobacco flavors. I started with pineapple. I have a whole bunch of different ejuice. Currently, Halcyon Cranch'i and vaperlicious peachy mango are my favorites. Good flavors really make it more enjoyable. Waiting on a 100ml of blue honey from Vape Dudes. I drink lots of water, and I am also surprised how much less coffee I am drinking. I have a cup of coffee a day instead of two pots of coffee. Don't know what the connection is.
Good luck on your journey.

My first experience was the Njoy rechargeable cigalike that came out several years ago. It was more of a novelty to me than anything else. Had to try it but I didn't really have the mindset that I was gonna quit smoking. I used it for a month or so, all the while still smoking cigs too. The pre-filled cartridges that came with it were terrible and the battery life was short so it was eventually tossed aside and forgotten.

It would be another few years before I decided to take vaping seriously and finally make up my mind to give up the cancer sticks.

I bought a cig-alike from my local smoke shop just thinking I was going to cut down on analogs. I ended up quitting that day. My husband went that night and bought an ego kit. That night we did nothing but watch YouTube and research the best set up. We ended up buying ego twists a week later and juice from mount baker vapor along with a bunch of vivi novas. A month after that we went to Vegas and visited pink spot. It was amazing juice. Now we both have several mods and tons of cartomizer tanks, and protanks.
Vaping for me has been amazing and even with the cheap cig-alike I knew that vaping was for me. I no longer use cig-alike and mainly use my mvp and nes mod, but carry my ego twist in the car on my way too work every day.
VAPING is now a hobby and addiction for me. I just recommend research and try lots of different things to find what works for you! Good luck

I started with disposables. I liked the way they worked, but hated the flavors! A friend of mine got an ego-t and I thought it was the most amazing thing ever, so I went out and got the ego-c and some fun flavors. That was cool for a while, but then I was exposed to the world of mods and accessories, and then my wallet was empty...

JK, but seriously, I loved the experience of my first vape, just not the flavor. Love my flavors now!

I'm using a VAMO v2 now (I mostly like it) with a ProTank. Also have a few other random tanks. Getting a drip system with a VapeMate feeder system this week - that will be fun :)

I ordered the original BLU E-cig. Received it. Took the first puff off it. Told the wife, this is it. I can switch off tobacco using this. That BLU was crap, but I owe it all to BLU, and this forum. My story. . .
I smoked cigarettes for more than 52 years. 2.5 PAD when I started E-cigs. Started vaping 3 years ago using DIY Cinnamon blend. Became concerned I was vaping too much Cinnamon. Mixed next batch without it. 24 hours later I discovered. . .I'd accidently left the nicotine out of that batch also. Decided if I'd gone without it for 24 hours. . .then who needs it. For the next 6 months I vaped nothing but 50/50 VG/PG. Probably would have gone on forever if I hadn't had to enter hospital for surgery. 2.25 months in hospital w/o my ProVari's. Now, I don't vape either. My story, I ACCIDENTLY quit smoking cigarettes after 52 years by using an E-cig. I doubt I'm anywhere near typical, but it worked for me.

Cheers,
otrpu

Started vaping on cigalikes just over a week ago. Already so frustrated with the batteries, cartridges, their price and taste. Placing an order this week that, once it arrives, should give me months of hassle-free vaping pleasure.

Still need to research a suitable solar power 'blanket' ... as I'm out in the bush a lot with no electricity

I tried a disposable at first out of curiosity. It was unsatisfying and the taste was wretched. When I told a friend about it, he recommended an eGo passthrough kit. I honestly felt like I was going to throw more money down the drain, but he insisted that the two products are nothing alike, so I bought the kit along with a bunch of fruity flavored juice (I believed that I'd have a better time finding a non-tobacco flavor that I like rather than longing for the real thing while trying tobacco flavors) and I've stuck with vaping ever since. I've since moved on from the eGo, but it was my first "proper" introduction to vaping.

My first e-cig was the Blu that I got at Walgreens. I'd been about a 1.5 PAD smoker for 15 years, and my body was starting to give me signs that it was probably time to quit. I really had no idea how I was going to do it though. I've tried chewing gum, nicotine gum, toothpicks, carrot sticks, snus, chewing tobacco, medication, you name it--none of those things ever got me through a day without a cigarette. So I was honestly more than a little skeptical about e-cigs, but I decided to give them a shot.

Bought my starter kit, and opened it up as soon as I got to my car. I took my first drag, and it put a big stupid grin on my face--I knew right away that e-cigs were going to get me off of tobacco. I haven't had a cigarette since that moment, 85 days ago.

Vaping ... :D

What juice were you using.. Did you think right away that vaping was for you.. What device did you use.. Just pretty much your whole experience.. Good/Bad..

My first experience was with the No 7 cig alike with menthol juice. It was awful. I have to assume the juice was mostly pg which I have a reaction to, because I coughed every single time I took a drag. I walked away for more than a year thinking that vaping wasn't for me.

I'm soooo glad I gave it another shot. Ecab - ego twist/evods - vamo v3 (which is giving me fits right now) - dripping. The whole vaping world is opening up for me. I'm just shy of a month off of analogs and I will never go back!

Started out last week, still have an analog about once a day until my pack is gone. Have about 4 left. Went from a 1-1/2 PAD smoked to having about 4 total analogs in 7 days. I started with a e-go battery and a CE4 tank. I started with a menthol taste then moved to more fruit flavors. The only thing I feel stupid about is I didn't find this forum before because I paid to much for my first PV from a convenience store. I just like trying out the different flavors and are looking to buy more vaporizers and starting to make my own juice in the future. I bought all the things to make my own juice a couple days ago so im just waiting for it to come in the mail. Almost like a kid at Christmas waiting for new things to come in the mail. My first time was enjoyable through I kinda invested a lot at the start so there is really no backing out now. Though in time I will make my money back I think. Right now vaping something that has a cinnamon clove type flavor. The taste on analogs are getting worst and worst everytime I smoke them. So it was good, im just switching habits but most people are happy with the switch. I didn't think people would be this positively responsive about this. Even though I feel im switching one habit for another atleast this is healthier.

Steve.....
First off.......Welcome to ECF!!
Me....I'm as new as they come...just started vaping last week...doing the "Blu-Step"!! Horrible battery life and the carts COULD be better...
BUT....after smoking analogs for > 30 years (PAD for the last year or so....!) I was ready to get off tobacco for good! The patches and gum are pricey and neither one really did much for me..The Blu e-cig has been a very good alternative...
Now....all I need to do is get a better battery(ies)!! I've got some new juice coming from Johnson Creek and will fill my own carts for awhile....until I can finance a better system - with a tank, thank you.....!;)
BTW.....I have to agree with those who say to try a vape "flavor" other than tobacco if you're out to quit analogs!! My taste buds are partial to menthol and cherry -- neither of which I care for, as a rule, but there ARE exceptions to every rule...!!
Best of luck to you!

My first experience was, like many, with the blu cig-a-like. Two days of that and I was at ECF reading my brains out. 4 days after that I was hitting the fire button on a Innokin iTaste 3.0 at 8 watts with a Kanger T3S loaded with Northwest Vapors 24 mg/ml Irish Cream. I was in heaven... and the carton of Camel non-filters are still sitting where I left them that day.
