I was aware of e-cigs, but had little factual information on them. One day, I was at the gas station getting gas and noticed a huge sign on the walkway to the store for the njoy e-cig kits. On a sort of whim, I bought one thinking it would be good to use this when around my Dad and my Mother in Law as both have COPD and are on 24/7 oxygen (both had been long term smokers). Anyway, I had been smoking for 33 years at this point (2 PAD) and I thought in a vague sort of way that I needed to quit, but I really did not want to quit. So, I started using the Njoy a bit, but oh golly, those cartomizers had some nasty tasting juice in them and they were SO expensive, but I noticed that on the very day I started using it, my cigarette consumption dropped by 50%.

So, I got on the internet and started doing some research and wound up with a Pro - Smoke starter kit. But, the little cartridges sure ran out of juice quickly and the M403 batteries leave much to be desired in the way of longevity. But, I was now only smoking 5 to 6 cigarettes per day and cutting down had been effortless as long as I could suck on that e-cig. So in hopes of finding a better way instead of those itty bitty expensive cartridges and itty bitty batteries, I went back on the internet to research some more.

I found ECF and lurked for a week or two before I posted. One of my first posts was asking what PV system should I get and the KGO was suggested to me. I went and bought one. And cartomizers. And juice - LOTS of juice. (Still buying juice). Once the KGO arrived and got all charged up and I filled my first cartomizer and put them together - I thought that I had died and gone to Heaven! And my cigarette consumption dropped further still.

On 3/4/12, I smoked my last stinky. I have not really had any hard cravings for one since that time. This past Friday night Hubby and I went out to dinner at Chili's. We sat in the bar - habit leftover from my smoking days. EVERYONE in there was smoking. I was vaping. And I even had a couple of margaritas with dinner and still did not want a cigarette. All strong triggers with me - after a meal, with booze, and being around other smokers. And I did not want a cigarette. Amazing. I am so proud of me. *Wrenches arm patting self on back*

Slight side-notes: My younger brother has to quit smoking. His life depends upon it. He is/was a 1.5PAD smoker, 32 years smoking. I gave him a 510 kit a few days ago, and he is averaging about 5-6 cigarettes a day now. My best friend used my Njoy kit while she was in the hospital having knee replacement surgery. She was in the hospital for a week. That kit helped her immensely. On the day she left the hospital, I lent her the Pro Smoke kit. She still is using it and is now down to about 10 cigarettes per day, from 2PAD, after 39 years of smoking. The Njoy kit has now migrated to my son, who has been smoking for 10 years. He was smoking about a PAD. He says that he is now smoking about 6 - 7 cigarettes per day.

I can honestly say is that even if a person really did not intend to stop smoking, once they start to use an e-cig, they will, at the very least, substantially decrease the number of daily cigarettes smoked.

I was talking to my 14 year old son about how I needed to quit smoking and he said,"There's a guy I watch on youtube who uses one of those electronic cigarettes while he does his videos. Have you thought about trying one of those?" I did some research that brought me here and picked up a Joye 510-T.
So, thanks to my kid and some British gamer called OTG, I am happily analog-free now.

As the mom of a teenage son this made me tear up a little. I have quit analogs for me as well as my kiddos.

I had tried a cig look a like a few years back and though it wasn't terrible, it just made me want to smoke. It was too much like a cig for me and the taste (only available in tobacco, vanilla or menthol) left a lot to be desired. In 2009 my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and I decided that I really needed to quit. After trying all of the patches, gum, lozenges and pills I found myself back at ecigs. Well the new one I got was a little bigger than an analog and the flavor was a little better, but it made vaping a chore. I did not enjoy it and quickly found myself back on analogs.
My dad passed in 2010 and I have been trying to quit again since then. My brother recently bought a Cylon(LT) and showed it to my roommate. My roommate quickly bought one and I used his for a bit and fell in love. I have been analog free for 9 days and have not even craved. When I am having a craving its for my pv not an analog:)
As of right now the only smoker left in my family is my mother and my siblings and I are slowly converting her:) I mean who wants to stand outside alone during family get togethers?

I was in the mall and saw a kiosk operation which piqued my interest, but i didn't purchase instead I decided to do more research. I ended up not following through, one day i saw the BLU disposable kit at Wal-greens I figured for $8 i'll give it a shot. It wasn't great that's for sure but it was enough to make me do the research and find "the way"....

My first interaction with an e-cig was the green nicotine guy at the mall. I thought, well if this guy is charging this much inside a mall, there has to be something cheaper outside the mall. Bought an Xhale kit from 7-11 as an experiment. I liked the concept but wanted something more. Did some internet trolling and found FSUSA has a store in my area. Got myself an eGo-T then moved up to a Provari. And the rest as they say is history. Been analog free since June 2011.

Not even trying to make light of the situation, but when that mans PV blew up in his face it was all over the place news-wise.

So I did some research and saw that there was more to e-cigs than Blu-cigs (which was all I knew of at that point and incidentally turned me off from vaping) and picked up something I knew I would use. Blu was definitely not my thing.

The rest is history.

I worked at a mental hospital in the dementia ward. One of the sweetest gals I worked with was a heavy chain smoker, about a 2PAD habit. One night I came to the floor and she's doing her charting and puffing away...and you could smell her shampoo even! She said she was vaping a vanilla cupcake and offered me her spare for the night....that was 3 months ago, and here I sit, vaping on my own egoT, loving those sweet cupcakes...

About a year and a half ago, one of my friends, while we were having an analog in between class, randomly said, "I wish there was a healthy cigarette." I asked him what made him think of that. He said that his brother had just bought an e-cigarette. I had no idea what he was talking about, so that night I got online and purchased the cheapest disposable e-cig I could find. I got it in the mail, tried it right out of the box, and after one puff I vomited. It was really that bad. I threw the thing away and didn't give it any more thought until my girlfriend told me that we weren't ever going to get married unless I stopped smoking and that she would leave me if I didn't quit. I tried the gum and the patch. Neither worked. Then I thought back to that first horrible e-cig and thought to myself, "they can't really be that bad." I proceeded to research the subject for about 2 days straight before ordering my first started kit, and have never looked back. My girlfriend is now my fiance and I finally learned the lesson that my dad was always trying to teach me: you get what you pay for.

Well i was just working in my bar, just another regular day, until a customer/friend of mine arrived back from Germany. I grabbed him a beer, turned around and he was puffing on this strange thing. After asking about it, he handed it over i had a puff, thought thats cool but i'll stick to my smokes. 2 days latter he came back and had a spare egot, handed it to me and said just try this tonight and see how you go. It worked great i didn't even need a smoke. From that point on i've been a full convert, and i will never look back. One of the best decisions i've ever made.
Thanks Chris

Freind of mine was vaping for about two years. Everytime i was with him I would ask him for a puff here a puff there and talk about how I needed to get one. At my thirtieth birthday party last July he said he was tired of hearing me say I was going to get one so he bought me an e-power and a 5 pack of juice. Analoges with vaping for 3 days and then put them down. Took one drag in november for a quick reminder why I dont do that anymore.

Now its time to figure out what to buy next. Just joined today because I have been lurking forever and finally wanted to start asking some questions about VV Mods and found out I can only post in here for a while.
