Newbie to e-cigs, been a smoker for over 40 years. Much as some folks all seem into the glam-models, I'm not looking to hang onto a heavy ANYTHING. I have smoked pipes, as well.
Started smoking as a kid, when it was 'cute' for the little-one to light the cigs for all the poker-players. Never been able to totally kick the habit. Down to about a carton a month, but it doesn't seem to be getting lower. Smoke more and expect to use the e-cigs more, behind the wheel. Something about being alert for every weirdo on the road makes me nervous. Since driving is one of my main places to smoke, I plan to stick with the models that look like cigarettes (analogues, as I see they're being called).
Biggest problem, so far is the feel of the use of the ones I have found. After a few days, it's actually easier to breathe if I go back to smoking. Breathing is like trying to run and breathe in heavy fog. Been suggested by others that I try a straight VG w/water base.
I would like some help trying to come close to the scent/taste of ultralights, then some of the pipe tobacco scents. Used to mix my own pipe tobacco from a golden cavendish and something else, but been so long, I plumb forget...
From what I've seen, the e-cig I have, from the local stop-n-rob is a low-power automatic 510 (brand is "Clean Cig"). Their full-flavor actuall is a bit heavy, as well as the heavy feel to my breathing, afterward. The type suits my usage, as well as not being a burden to use, hands-free. Never liked the plastic mini-cigar tips. Just plan on using the round cigarette-.... type.
Anywho, I'm near Austin, Texas, married, 5 kids (16-25).
Later,
Jeff
