I agree, I don't know why I was under the impression the battery's would last longer than the 901. I know somewhere in posts someone said it lasts longer because of no led to drain the charge..and hey does yours just stop suddenly when it need's a charge? BTW I am not getting the leaky carts at all either..

No leaky carts here either, but.. yes, it just goes dead. It will vape totally fine one hit, and the next it's just gone. Weird, but actually kind of nice. My M401 will diminish over time, whereas the Dura just goes on strong right up to the end. It does have shorter lifespan, but I honestly don't care. I have 4 batteries in rotation now and it seems to be working for me.

BTW, not to derail the thread.. but I'm curious. Is anyone else concerned about the way the Dura makes so much vapor? Maybe others do the same, but I noticed the atomizer makes a decent amount of vapor even with zero liquid on it (tested with a fresh atomizer) and I noticed the batting is right up against the atomizer, as opposed to my M401. When the cart is dry on the 401, vapor just stops.

It only worries me because when the cart on the Dura/510 goes totally dry, it still continues to produce vapor, albeit very awful tasting/smelling vapor (I was drinking last night and my wife noticed this before I did.. she says, "eww, I thought they weren't supposed to smell bad?"). So what.. is it burning the batting? Is that safe?

I've since just gotten into the habit of topping it off frequently but.. it still concerns me somewhat.

I got mine on Sat and have been troubled by the chemical plastic taste that I am pretty sure is coming from the cart or the cart filling. Plus I think the atom runs hotter that my Evo/401. So I stuck an Evo cart on it and the taste is way better. It has the best flavor and vapor when I drip directly on the atomizer. So I am concerned too that I might be burning up the atom and top off frequently. I might try pulling out some of the batting or replacing it with another material. I also ordered some different carts.

I do think the Dura runs hotter than other types of atomizers. That is, at least in part, one of the reasons why it provides such a strong "hit." :)

I keep it frequently topped off so my cartridge is nice and juicy to avoid problems with nasty taste/odor. Personally, I prefer not to think about what it's vaporizing at that point. :p

Really, my only complaint with my Dura-C is the battery life (1-2 hours, and perhaps even less than that if I'm vaping heavily). But that's really not a complaint . . . more of an observation. :)

Also, my atomizers are lasting about 2 weeks on average. Again, not a complaint because they give you two atomizers, and you can keep getting replacements for the warranted one for 6 months.

I have had the dura and dura c, like them both. Batteries can be an issue at times so bought some backups. Not sure if I like the manual or auto switch better. The original dura, titan, joye 510 gives the best vapor and throat hit for me. It hold copous amounts of liquid which is a big bonus for me. I have about eight of these things, load them up and good for the day. If a battery craps out plenty of others to use throughtout the day. Its working for me right now quite well. Keep a couple of the dse 901's at the house for another set of backups. I will not be setback to analogs, what a relieve that chain and ball are almost in the distant past. One thing I have noticed as momof3 has mentioned that you need to keep these things vertical when not in use with cartridge side pointing down and just let gravity do its thing. They seem to migrate fluid real fast to the battery if not kept upright. I use the pencil grabber which sticks on the surface and set the ecig in those for storing when not in use. All in all not a bad unit just simply need more than one.
Kind Regards

I've been finding that after I top off, I have about 5 puffs before I get the burnt plastic-y taste. What I've started doing is taking the whole e-cig and shaking it towards the atomizer as if I was shaking down a glass thermometer. This shakes some liquid to the atomizer and the top portion of the cart, which gives me a few more drags. When the shaking doesn't work, it's time to top off or refill.

It's been 2wks 3days since my 1st 2 kits arrived. 3 more kits the following week and 1 more kit Tues. I've had a total of 3 atoms go, 2 auto batts with probs and a dead manual. The Dura standing for durability hasn't panned out for me.

The kit I just got Tues has a rust spot on the inside of the atom and is the kit the manual is dead from. Of the atoms with manufacture dates, I've got some from Feb and Mar. I've got 2 hole, 3 hole with 1 filled and 3 hole all open.

Since I've only bought Dura/Dura-C/Yeti kits over the last 2 mnths I can't say for sure, but I'm wondering if the backlog from the holiday along with the increase in demand has led to lots of quality issues on all models.
