I've talked with the mods/admits here about this. It is about the impression it gives the anti vape crowd. They like to point to that as a main use for vaping and use it as a point of opposition. We avoid talking about it here so that we don't feed their talking points on that subject. I don't mind the rule, there are other places to discuss that.

Trust me, I've been here long enough to know what ECF policies state....however, times are a changin' since this rule was made (guessing 2007 ?).

It's no longer a valid rule since it's being legalized throughout the country and is being used for a similar purpose as nicotine.

That being said, nicotine...."the drug of choice here" is far more dangerous and harmful than the one being blocked.

This rule is outdated.

And that's the real truth there.

Has nothing to do with their intelligence and everything to do with their upbringing and surrounding influences.

This was proven when the Vietnam War ended, soldiers returning had the very same 'problem'.
When I was in high school and college, my speech would typically include a lot of 4-letter words sprinkled into it. Growing older and being in a work environment, I hardly ever use those words any more. Now whenever I hear my sons talk, especially with their friends, it makes me cringe to hear them talk like that.

Nicotine is one of the single deadliest poisions on the earth!

One drop of pure nicotine on your skin can kill an adult ....in minutes.

This is why you need a special license to even handle the stuff and why you cannot buy liquid above 250mg/ml....without one.

Even too much of a good thing is bad. Drinking too much water can kill you. Pure oxygen will kill you. And we need both of those to survive.

It's his job to be nit pickey! Granted some of his reviews are long winded you have to realize that believe it or not, there are some very particular people out there that may have issues with certain things. He did a review of a mod that I was considering purchasing and in the review he noted that the screen was off center. To most, who cares right?! It would drive me nuts! So I appreciated that fact that he pointed that out. On the Disrupter, almost every review I've seen they make mention of the top looking "unfinished" with the screws. Even GrimmGreen pointed it out. If you don't like him, don't watch his videos. Unfortunately Todd has stopped doing reviews so we're down one good reviewer. Even Todd said he didn't like the top. What I'm getting at here is you can't discredit someone's OPINION on something. You can only discredit FACT. I was considering getting a Disrupter but the FACT is there is no lock on the battery. I have an issue with that because I know me and my luck. I know the battery will at some point come off when I'm putting it in my pocket. That's just me. I really think EVERYONE who does an in depth review on anything should be commended for their time for trying to help us, the consumers, make a more educated decision on a product. If there are any reviewers reading this: THANK YOU!
My screen isn't off center...

Not to mention, the only way to get "pure nicotine" is from a lab..... Nicotine is found in many foods consumed every day things like tomatoes and various peppers. In its natural form, or concentrations like our intake, it's no more harmful, and less addictive, then caffeine, and has medical benefits, like stemming off onset of Alzheimer's.

Many people now want to turn off the politically correct ideals when they aren't working though. I can be civil or cuss up a storm, depends on mood and setting.

It's not about politics, it's about respecting others within earshot.

It would be similar to undressing and walking down the sidewalk naked.

Generally a bad idea unless you're a pron star. :D

You're not the only one Bella. I haven't gotten mine yet either. :( But I'm on the west coast - maybe that has something to do with it. (Although, I would think it would have been faster).
I am just upstairs from you and I got mine on Monday. :( I was one of the first 5 announced in the second round (on Sunday instead of Monday), though. Maybe the second 5 went out later than the first 5? Not too sure. I really hope you guys get them soon, though. The Disrupter is awesome!

Is there a running total of how many of these have been given away and how many remain? :)

That's why I included setting in my statement. Profanity does usualy get included in the PC range most of the time from my experiance.

Lmao, at first glance I thought your last sentence said pawn star. Ain't no way I want to see any of those guys naked. There are people that say nudism is a right though.

I've talked to him on the phone, he can avoid profanity for the most part. When he got started, he was drawing viewers from his stereo comp crowds, and that is common speech in that crowd. But I refuse to judge people by the way they talk. I've met plenty intelligent people who grew up in the wrong place and got a bad education, or were surrounded by bad influences. I went to an upper middle class school and the "f" word was used all the time. Even by teachers. It's become an accepted part of modern society today. It may be seen as an ignorant way of expressing yourself by some, but they are fast becoming the minority...

I won't watch movies that feature the F word every other word. I won't hang around people who feature the F word every other word. Time and place... if you drop an anvil on your toe, or your lame legislators decide to make vaping the next cash cow, then sure, it's warranted, but otherwise... there are a lot of other words.

But on the subject of reviews... Has everyone forgotten how to write/type? Why are there no WRITTEN reviews? Why does EVERYTHING AND ITS BROTHER have to be a video? Even more than the F word, I hate hearing "uh" every other word! And I don't want to watch someone vape, I just want info on the product!

You musta missed the part where he stated that he thought the battery should be latched and not press-fit onto the body.

If the battery were latched and had to be removed going down, then your concern would be resolved.
I don't think the way the battery comes off will be any kind of problem for me at all. With the charge and vape technology the only time I see changing my battery is if I want a color change. The battery fits very firmly on the Disrupter and I can't see it coming loose in any situation so for me it is a non-issue. I like the way it is designed. :)

It wasn't a blunder at all. That review probably put more pressure on eleaf to fix their next gen devices than any amount of griping on forums did. If he'd given them a pass, it's likely they'd have continued using AVG instead of Vrms.

And I like PB's review of the Disrupter, I appreciate the thoroughness, he always provides enough information that I can decide what's important (or not) to me. Better than the other superficial reviewers that ooh and ahh over anything new that they got for free. But I think he's wrong in suggesting the battery should slide off towards the bottom. I have no problem with the "industrial" design look of the top and bottom.

P.S. Anyone who thinks Phil is too long winded, just skip to 34:20 for the thumbs up/thumbs down summary. His bottom line "a completely trouble-free vape" and over-all thumbs up.
Now THAT is what I look for! I watch parts of his reviews but I like the overview or his thoughts on certain aspects. I can't sit through a whole review but if I know where to look for what I want to know I watch those parts. Thanks for posting that! :)
