Pharmaceutical companies have no need for tax breaks, they get subsidies for research and development as it is. They are profit driven using R&D as a cover to justify said profits. Here is 2 good examples...1. Insulin has been around since the late 50's and has been improved dramatically but they have some varieties that have been developed 30 years ago and well beyond recovering the cost to R&D. That very same insulin at first, cost the patient around 25 USD and today close to 195 USD for ONE VIAL yet they will continue to claim it is to cover the cost of development.....2. .........it has been available long before the name you know it as today, they even have an extension on the patent to avoid it going generic. It started out at a cost of around 4 USD per tab, today upwards of 30 USD. Here is the kicker... it has been around in generic form for close to 2 decades under another "name" and made by the same company no less! They have actually made a deal with some insurers( Medicare/caid) to not prescribe it for conditions other than what it is intended for and that condition is very specific. It costs around 9 USD per tab.

Well my point is Pharmaceutical companies will never give money to a charity unless there is some form of a kickback. They want all the money they can get so they can continue to pay the FDA for approval on meds that actually cause more harm than good....One reason many people take several medications just to counter the others they take. The circle continues:facepalm:

Rant over....I need a Martini NOW:D:lol:

EDIT: removed incorrect cost from 19 to 9
Then why do the groups like the American Cancer Society and American lung Society follow suit in what ever the Pharmaceutical companies do and say?
They just as bad as the politicians that are bought and paid for. :(

Not an entry because I won last week, but I would love to see devices that partnered with the military in some way. All of the branches represented (logos), or the Wounded Warrior Project, something that represented our men and women in service to our country.
You stole the idea I was going to add to my first post :p

I used to deliver office furniture in my twenties and the red cross had an account with us us and regularly had furniture orders in the 20,000 to 50,000 range now why does a charity need to spend that kind of money on office furniture I mean they were buying 5,000$ desks give me a break gotta research the charities that you donate to some are just for profit companies in disguise

Greetings everyone.

Quick draw time! :D

Here's the question:

Which non vape company could we work with or license for designs or logos on the Disrupter and InnoCell?

Have fun, and good luck.

Please only enter once, also the companies shouldn't appeal to children.

I look forward to hearing everyones answers. The draw will end on Monday 27th 17:00 EDT.

Well darn....jut woke up....and many ideas I thought of have been mentioned....some of them I would disagree with, but I digress....

My entry: ....How about HBO....Their programming line up over the years has shown that they aren't afraid to stand up and present things that may be thought of as controversial

Sorry, I already posted this idea. :) On another note, sounds like there is at least 2 of us who would buy HBO related vape gear!

Some of you may want to read up on the various charities and their stance on vaping. Most of them want to ban it.

That would be where actual research and discussion would need to take place.
Not everyone is closed mined. We may need to present it properly, with some facts, but I don't see the problem.

It's worked in other areas, no reason to think it wouldn't work here.

Everyone does realize the vaping industry is in trouble? :danger:

If the FDA labels vaping under Tobacco products then the tobacco taxes that made cigarettes so expensive with be added on.
If the FDA labels vaping a medical device then you have to get a doctor's prescription to get mods and juice.
If the FDA regulates vaping, then say good buy to anyone that can't afford to pay around $20,000 to $30,000 to the FDA for each device and flavor of juice they sale.

If we lose China and a company like Walmart doesn't pick up the manufacturing, distribution, and sales,
Then the Vaping industry will fail faster then it started

Companies like V-Meds that advertise The Nano-Mist as a Lung Cleansing Therapy and Treatment are trying to patent e-cigs as a revolutionary drug delivery technology,
which if they are successful can label a mod as a medical device

Did you know that China produces about 90 percent of the world’s e-cigarettes. :?:
Did you also know that China has the worlds largest smoking population, with an estimated 300 million daily smokers.
Roughly 2.4 trillion cigarettes are consumed annually, and the country is the world’s largest producer of tobacco.

Why would China Ban e-cigs o_O
The Chinese government has a literal monopoly on its tobacco, and earns $95 billion annually from its tobacco taxes.

The vaping industry that has grown to 1.7 billion in annual sales,
And companies and governments that make hundreds of billions annually are starting to worry about losing money to the vaping industry
We must be doing something right

I already won, but two things came to mind (well, actually several more--such as some sort of non-profit--have been mentioned):

1) Starbucks: It's everywhere and coffee is one of those things that goes well with combustibles. Maybe steering smokers toward vaping would appeal to them.
2) Not so much as branding for the disrupter, but would a company such as Tesla Motors be interested in the Innocell?
