Nothing like a good vape with my HALO G6 and Malibu before Hurricane Irene hits. At least the flavor of the Malibu will help me pretend I am in a tropical paradise.

I'm preparing for possible power outage. I have 18650 and 14500 batteries charging on two chargers. My Reos will get me through.
I have all my batteries charged, my pcc charged up and my car charger ready. Bunch of cartos filled up in case I can't see in the dark. Forget the water, forget the flashlights, I've been charging batteries all day.

Irene passed over us when she was still a tropical storm, but still pretty brutal.
The power was out for 5 days, so I had to rig up my 510's charger to work off my 12v portable car booster battery!

I am freaking out a bit. We lose power easily. I am in far SE PA and there are lots of trees and the ground is already soaked (wettest August on record and that is before this storm). And CBS Phila is warning some people could be without power for a week to 10 days or even 2 weeks (I certainly hope not!)
I am charging 2-3 each of KR808D-1, Riva 510, 510 manuals, already charged my 2 (wish I had more) 14500 batteries. Amazingly the 11,000mah portable USB charger I bought showed up today and I immediately started charging it (needs 7 hours to charge and I have obviously never tested it).
I also charged 2 Kindles and my netbook.
I think the 600mah Ego 3-stage battery is stuck in the mailbox grrr - sometimes the mailperson shoves a small box in too far and traps the lock of the box so we cannot get it open.

I hadn't thought about folks running out of power for their e-cigs! That could be a major problem and power outages make a compelling argument for owning a PCC.....or two.
This is the exact reason why I keep about 6 14650's on me along with my Reo. You can NEVER be to careful when it comes to a storm situation.

Hoping for everyone's safety that are having to fight Irene. You all will be in our thoughts here in Texas. BTW if you think about it send some rain our way we could use it.
And speaking as one who has lived in Houston for over 30 years (and many hurricanes & tropical storms), just know that all will be well. It's scary as hell when a hurricane blows through ... but it DOES go through. Nothing lasts forever ... even though it feels like it at the time. Love, laughter & and a sense of humor always gets you through! My empathy and sympathy go with each and every one of you in Irene's path!
While the masses were stocking up on water, I made a mad dash today to Radio Shack for a USB port car charger. Phew...
Ipad, Iphone, Macbook, 2 PCCs, 22 ecig batteries are charging, and the dog just pooped. I'm ready.
