I'm really enjoying it - and your glowing reference was why I bought it. It's an awesome moist vape.

I love how easy it is to put a coil in - with the coil rod grooves on the deck, you just need to trap the wire and snip off the legs:thumb:

Wicking: I cut my tails to the deck, then cut them a bit shorter. Fluffed and shoved and it has been wicking perfectly :D

Here's Todd's build video:

What I.d. Coil did you use with what kind of wire?

Thanks for the invite @AngeNZ , guess I'm late to this party today but for good reason and I didn't want to comment until I'd experimented some more.

Yesterday I had a standard 1.0ohm build using 28 gauge in the Project X and using a peach e-liquid the flavour was very good using the standard 2ml tank. But then later when I decided to use the tank extension things went downhill. The taller chimney was just cooling the vape too much and I felt the flavour was washed out. Checked the wicking and then checked it again, seemed fine but no joy and I went back to the 2ml tank.

So this morning I was a moody Muppet and said "stuff the Project X" and used my SQuape RS instead which I built at 0.5ohm using 316 Stainless Steel. Usually I have no interest in temp control even though I have the mods to do it but for some reason I decided to use it on my new Tesla Punk. 5 minutes later and I'm thinking "well this is really great actually!"

To cut a long story short I put a Stainless Steel build in the Project X about an hour ago, kept the cotton really thinned down and also pulled it back from the edge of the well a little. It's kind of back to the standard way of wicking with the Project X compared to the Hussar which I also have where you make sure the cotton is simply resting on top of the channels rather than in them. Regardless at 210°C I am getting a lovely vape in the Project X with my apple crumble and custard juice. So quite likely with the extension tank I had to much cotton in there that time and it was trapping the wicks but yet I had no dry hits. Need to experiment again later.

I must admit I like the airflow and the way the vapour spirals around as you exhale. The MTL option is a very relaxed loose MTL imho compared to the Hussar with the 1.2mm AFC pin. However for some reason I prefer the Project X fully opened up because that RDTL draw is actually very enjoyable with this RTA. As for the Reaper V3 comparisons mentioned earlier, I feel the V3 is a different kind of vape and you'd have to try out a lot of juice in both to really compare. The Project X is very moist, Reaper V3 is more dense and creamy but both are extremely flavoursome and I would certainly have both tanks in rotation.

Update: Nothing wrong with the extension tank. Seems the fill port upper cap was over-tightened impeding the juice flow control, so it was wicking but just not wicking properly.

2.5mm id ss316l 6 full wraps - and I agree with Kermit - your taste juices so differently with this rta :thumb:

@Letitia I've been running capella Italian lemon Sicily (in a mix) through it all day no prob. But that's the only citrus/tank cracker I have in my stash. Well apart from tfa cinnamon and I just can't bring myself to vape that  ;)

Both Reaper and Hussar are excellent tanks... maybe Reaper provide very slightly better flavor but Hussar provide slightly better draw control... when it comes to looks Hussar looks definitely better....:)

Thanks everyone for all your great input on the Coppervape Hussar Project X!

Makes waiting for it even harder lol! :D

I'm giving mine the two week test (if it doesn't annoy me during two weeks of usage it passes) then ordering another ;)

Also bookmarked the Hussar v1 RDA - anyone tried that?

Your X in satin gray looks totally awesome on the luxe! :thumb:

    I ordered satin gray too.
Can't wait until it gets here. I figured out it's a few miles closer than yesterday.

At least you are vaping your X ... meanwhile I daydream about mine while looking at yours.

    Awesome, you ordered a squonker!!!
What kind did you get? Or is that a secret until you post a pic over on Shiny Avenue?

BTW I totally love your rose quartz.
My rose quartz is about the size of your Project X. You win.

Question for a Master, is there any difference between shades of gray or grey? :?:
Inquiring minds, and those in training, need to know...

Is she a drinker? Do you find the 2ml capacity sufficient or are you going to order the 4ml tank extension?

Me thinks you gonna love squonking too :p

@ShowMeTwice i think we might have a little longer wait. I remember reading about packages that we being sent back to FT if shipping out via Beijing/Shenzhen. I’ve heard that FT stated they will be shipping out of a different city to circumvent the problem . I noticed on my tracking FT is shipping out of Nanjing. Don’t know where that is but it seems it’s further away from the airport o_O as I have a small accessories order that was shipping on the 13th of June & it’s still stating:

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment -> We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece. On 24th of June.

Running it in TC mode at 400f with a preheat of 17watts (I sound so techie :D) I'm finding it very miserly for a 2ml - so I won't bother with the extension. But as you vape at better watts than me and DL you will probably need it :thumb:

I'm on the fence with squonking - I love a couple of RTAs so much, that unless I can replicate their vape with an RDA it's gonna be probably a part time thing - RTA in the morning, squonk all night. The main trouble will be finding an RDA that vapes like the doggy RTA ;)

@AngeNZ your Satin Gray X looks awesome with your Vaporesso!

Got mine in Satin Gray too!
I think we should start the Satin Gray X ECF club. :w00t:
Who wants to do the GREY t-shirt design? I nominate @AngeNZ , though I could try.
Or maybe you have design talents we don't know about?
Thinking gray t-shirts to matchy matchy our satin gray Project X's.
Still don't know the difference between gray and grey and Ange won't tell me.

I just looked at tracking for mine and it's in Nanjing too. Been there a while too.
"Your item has been processed through a facility in NANJING EMS, CHINA at 1:01 pm on June 24, 2019"
I ordered mine on the 19th same day this thread was reopened. Is that when you ordered yours?

Also have an order from the 16th that they haven't done anything with, yet.
Thought I read FT has a new delivery service. Perhaps we are the test subjects?

The FastTech Hot Air Balloon Express!!!

I am very Zen with all things FT. One must be!

I'll test my Project X out with kanthal first and then move it over to TC. And your settings are right in my ballpark.

I do think you will be pleasantly surprised with the vape on an RDA, maybe. I drip and squonk and have a couple RTA's going all the time. Received my new Tripod today and love it. Seriously awesome flavor. Been testing between a Prime and Tripod with same setups and juice. So far the Tripod is beating the Prime for flavor.

I refuse to look. For now.
My wallet needs a breather for .... 4th of July sales!
