I took the plunge and tried the hybrid BF atty on my Reo and it didn't short and the flavor is good but the vapor is about half what I got on the Rev 2. I can live with this though. It's curious though how a cheaper BF mod can produce more vapor with the same atty and the same juice than the Reo Grand both at 3.7v. I must have to do with the batteries. The Rev 2 has built in batteries but I think the mah is around 1400 and the 18560 is 1600mah. Anybody care to speculate on that?
Shouldn't be happening. It is probably either the batteries/charger, they should be coming off the charger about 4.20v, or different squonking technique, and you are flooding the atty. It is also possible that you are not getting a good solid circuit, either the adapter is not connecting well or your firing pin may need to be cleaned.
I strongly suspect that it is the connection. If you take the ohm-meter straight to the atty, I suspect that the reading will be lower. I believe that the hybrid atomizer isn't making a full connection. Beware of trying to tighten the atty much further because of the possibility of shorting.
Being a newbie with Reos, I haven't quite got the hang of squonking so I think that might be the problem because I'm flooding the atty a lot. It's working much better now that I'm not flooding the atty as much. I'm very nervous about over tightening the atty so I'm only tightening until it makes contact and then a tad more. So far so good.
Terry, have you tried a blind squonk yet? Just lightly press on the bottle while taking a dry hit. Once you hear a gurgle then stop immediately, then vape away. Pm'd you about a thread that you should take a look at. Which was on here regarding the hybrids and the problems that presented to REO's.

No, I haven't tried the blind squonk. I completely forgot about it. 
What I've been doing when vapor reduces is give a quick squonk and that seems to be working great. No gurgle. I'm in love with this Reo but it is a bit heavy for my little hands.

I guess the weight of a aluminum mod can be a little heavy for some. There is good number of people here that prefer to use the mini or the wooden REO's since it's lighter in weight.
I think it's the huge battery that's making it so heavy. Wood? I don't want to hear about wood Reos/mods. I want one so bad but it will never happen. Too expensive.
Well, the 18650 battery will definitely give you more than enough time to vape. Which will make up for it's weight and also, the aircraft aluminum is VERY solid and will deal with almost any abuse that you can give it. It might just take a little bit of time to get used to but, it really isn't heavy at all IMO.
Despite wearing the Grand around my neck most of the day, I don't think of it as heavy at all. I sure wouldn't want to fall on it. It has no give. 8-o
