Hybrid Dripper?

Can someone tell exactly what is different about a Hybrid Dripper vs. Mech mod? What are the advantages of having a Hybrid Dripper? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hybrid dripper is a mechanical mod that you can't change the atomizer system out on. Its purpose built with the atomizer system attached as part of the whole. A mechanical mod as the term usually applies usually has a 510 connection and then you choose your own atomizer to attach to it. Also you can change them out.

Thank you for clarifying. So if something goes wrong with the built in atomizer then the whole mod would be no longer work? Are there any advantages of purchasing a hybrid mod versus a mech and a rda?

The only advantage I can personally think of is looks. Some claim the hybrids hit harder because you arent limited by the current capability of the 510 connector. Lower voltage drop. I personally think you can get PLENTY of fire from a 510 connection. If something were to go wrong with your hybrid, chances are you could get it fixed. Most hybrids are limited production high end devices. I would imagine most companies that make them would fix them. Probably for a fee.

If your atty dies, the whole setup is dead... right.

One could say that there is some advantage to not having to run your current through an ordinary mods top cap. Having the atty directly connected to the tube/battery, and such. As someone who don't care all too much about whether a setup hits like a beast or more like a freight train... I have to say, for me, hybrids are more about looks and size.

There is something in between a fully dedicated hybrid and a mod with an atty on top. You can get stand-alone hybrid atties that use some sort of "standardized" threading that will screw onto a handful of different mods. Take a look at this thread:
