Again, you misunderstood me, I try to bring things up so they can be addressed rather than sinking into oblivion. I understand, and appreciate the fact that V4L doesn't hide or run, but does address these things. I just felt this issue was worthy of keeping towards the top of the page so one of you would see it.
I try to be helpful in my narcissistic perverted ways.

Well I say $6+ to ship, really????

Printed postage on my last delivery was $4.90. $6.95 to ship. That left them $2.05 to pack and ship. Ok - so let's say it took 1/10th of an hour (6 man-minutes) to pull, pack, and process my order.

Let's say an employee costs $9/hr + 23% overhead for that employee. (Pretty typical, give or take, mostly take). $11.07/hr.

Supplies are probably another $0.20.

An employee can generate $69.50/hr in pack-and-ship. It costs 4.90 * 10 = 49.00 + $11 = $60 + $2.00 in supplies = $62.00 = ~ 10%.

They mark their shipping up 10% and you're complaining about "over-paying" !?!?

Of course, that percentage will go down a bit with juice orders. My order was pretty small. But the upshot still remains that they make about ten points on shipping. That's a pretty minuscule convenience charge. What did you spend driving to the gas station for cigarettes? Those aren't commonly delivered to your door in the US... Then consider that you've saved hundred of percent in taxes and it's really hard for me to whine about a business making a few points on their shipping...

I'll never understand these types of threads.

Why just today I got an e-mail about a battery I have that started deteriorating they will be replacing, no questions asked.

Give them a chance. Sheesh. :)

Kimmy,

Please understand that this is not just one order and i am not just some angry customer that paid 5 dollars and did not get treated like Donald Trump. I have placed 16 orders in 7 months. The first 10 orders were completely fine, other than an occasional half empty cart or a DOA battery. My last 4 orders however were all messed up in some way. To keep getting sent batteries that did not work is just utterly ridiculous. It takes 2 minutes to screw on a cart and test it correctly. Not just pull to see the LED light up. 4 weeks to solve one battery issue and then my next juice order was not correct and the people i spoke to on the phone were just ignorant and kept saying "yes" before i was done speaking.

Now i am not sure how many orders you have placed or if you are just not blessed with good luck, but i think i have every right to be upset and i think i gave them enough chances. I too am in customer service, if i spoke to my customers in this manor or treated them like they were just another person in line to deal with, i would fire myself.

Dave,

I will PM you. I am not sure what can be done to rectify the situation. But i will undoubtedly listen to what you have to say.

Adrenalynn,

Shipping costs should not be increased on according to salary. nor should this be compared to driving to the store, that's not apples to apples.

They are flat charges that should cover shipping + and packing supplies. 6.95$ for standard USPS shipping is a bit high as compared to other sites as well as my own company. i can ship a CD case with a software disk in it, which is heavier than 2 juice bottles and 1 pack of blank cartos, for 1.90$. 2.24$ if i want to use priority shipping. i can not say what the charges are from the Chicago Area to the Philadelphia Area, but i can say that 2.24$ USPS first class is what i pay to ship a software package to CA or any area on the west coast. I have never worked for a company that would increase shipping costs on any order because they want to help offset salary overhead. CS people are needed to answer emails, phone calls, shipping items and answer letters. It comes with the territory and the responsibility of the "job"

I, too, am a fan of V4L and have been ordering a lot of supplies in the year that I've been vaping. (I use e-cigs in my business so that my caregivers don't smell like smoke when they enter a client's home) I've also noticed problems lately with batteries not keeping a charge, orders being messed up, customer service reps being snippy, etc...

I think we all got spoiled with the personal care that we got when V4L was smaller...which is harder to provide now that it's gotten so big and popular. I'm willing to wait out the 'bad times' because I love V4L but I certainly understand if others aren't. The way things are nowadays, it's difficult to not want to find a more reliable place to spend one's hard earned money. But Steve has promised bigger and better things on the horizon and I'm willing to give it a shot.

Dave, I think you have a great attitude and I wish it was you that I had spoken with last week :)

I'm new to V4L and am hanging around. I do hope they get better batteries though. Mine take 4 hrs to charge and last a good half hour then another mediocre half hour, which leaves me with 3 hours to think about a damn analog while batteries are charging. This can't be normal, so I bought an XL and a manual (shipped yesterday), I've already spent over $200 in a few weeks. Things have to work out !!!

Well I am very sorry about the total mixup man. I have been ordering from them for about 8 9 months now and I had a few problems, even problems that I messed up with and called spoke to Mark and steve and they usually fixed it for me.

They are usually great about CS and from the few other companies I delt with, they are the best with CS.

I'm kind of from the school "If you haven't had a problem, you haven't bought enough :) " I drive pretty nice vehicles, and even there stuff does go boom sometimes, the trick is the good supplier corrects things.

I've had hardware woes with several vendors, ECF Suppliers, but they've all done what it took to make good. V4L did go through a span where CS was lacking, speed of resolution wise (even then the corrections occurred, just things took longer), but best I can tell they've turned the corner on that, have worked hard to upgrade/professionalize that area consistent with what's needed for a growing business.

Last order was 5 packs of Kamel 36 for a buddy, fast shipping (as usual) and I scarfed the sample 555 as my commission :)

Keep up the good work!

I am very pleased and not had a problem with CS at all. I think they are going through some "growing pains" as a company and that is a GOOD thing because a growing company will continue to introduce new things and improve on their products! You can't please EVERYONE - there are always a few that have bad luck and I am sorry that they had problems, but I'm sticking around for the long haul! It can only get better IMHO! :)

Honestly, I am so darn thankful for V4L - for providing such a great product and selection of flavors at a reasonable price! If it weren't for them I know I would still be smoking! Are they perfect, no. But they always try to keep us smiling and that is huge in my book! Thanks guys! ;)

What is better then a customer like that? Nothing, I am thankful for the 10 percent discount we get. I can not afford anything right now so I am bearly ordering anything, but I know that without the discounts they give, I can afford it a little more. I am just happy that they are so giving to us. They show us it is not about making moiney, but keeping a family around them.

Good to see you on top of things Dave! This is what we had gotten used to for service, and it's VERY hard for you guys to stay up on everything, I know and understand that. But a strong presence on the forum really makes a HUGE difference on how things are handled and how people reply.
Keep up the good work!
