How many people here have tried to go a week nic free? How many made the switch and just assumed they needed to continue the nic? I know they say these aren't smoking cessation products but it seems to me like a perfect device for that. Even if you quit analogs then move to 24mg juice. After a few weeks, down to 18. Then so on straight down to 0.

Thoughts?

Well, I haven't tried 0mg nic yet, but here's my experience:

I recently started doing a bit of DIY myself and on occasion I have accidentally ended up making a juice that was much lower in nic than my usual vape. My observation was that even though I didn't feel a physical difference between vaping with 24mg juice vs. vaping with 12mg juice what ended up happening is that several times during the day I would start thinking about how great smoking was, the smell, the taste, the feel of it.. I'd really start to miss it - not the nicotine, mind you, the smoking!

So I finally realized that I was only having these thoughts when I vaped the lower mg juices! Why? I don't know! They don't feel any different than the higher mg juices to me, but I think "bad" thoughts when I use the lower mg juices.

So now I'm extra careful to keep my juices as near to 24mg as I can and the problem goes away.

But I think it depends on the flavor. I was able to dilute atomic cinnacide by 50% without loss of flavor, but no such luck with some other flavors.

Yea, you're probably right, but in my experience with buying liquids from five different suppliers, I think it has to do with how the supplier mixes the liquids. Four out of the five suppliers I've tried so far have been bad liquids. I've only liked one supplier's liquids, so I'm probably gonna just stick with that supplier from now on.

congratulations on getting your monkey off your back! But just for my curiousity, what is it that's wrong with inhaling nicotine mist besides the addictive nature itself? I thought it was the smoke that kills you and that the anti-freeze and nicotine are non-carcinogenic and non-toxic. This is not a troll or flame, I just thought these things are fun. I keep some 0's around for my non-smoking friends to try cherry crush or chocolate or cotton candy or e-...... or whatever.

It's just the addiction that some people want to be free of (not me :))... it's not really that bad for you beyond that.

I've discovered the same thing! The lower the nicotine level I'm vaping, the more frustrated I get, and the more I'll think about smoking. There have been a few times in the last month when I did light a cigarette when that happened, but every time, I put it out after smoking about 1/2 of it.

Total so far: 38 drops RY4 and 34 drops Glycerin - with no loss of flavor.

I'll post an update later, when my throat gets back to normal.

Well, the carto I used for the test isn't vaping right. I'm getting throat hits now with other cartos, but this one needs to be flushed and refilled. I don't know if I received a bad bunch of soft cap Boge 510s (I've been having this type of problem quite often lately), if adding the liquids like I did in the test caused the problem (without being mixed first), or if I vaped the liquid too much in a short time and ruined the carto.

Anyway, RY4 can be mixed with Glycerin at a ratio of 50/50 without losing flavor, but I wouldn't mix more than 50% Glycerin. The mixture I fell in love with about three weeks ago was 1/3 RY4 (tasted like caramel), 1/3 Apple, and 1/3 Glycerin. The RY4 I received from FSUSA today doesn't taste very much like caramel at all, so I'm a little disappointed. But the flavor is still strong and good, just not as good as the caramel flavor in my first 30mL bottle of RY4. I'm hoping the caramel flavor will come through after this 120mL bottle has steeped in a few days.

Thanks again everyone :) I'm really glad to see the conversation that has grown out of this, too.

BTW, to the person who asked about nic possibly being non-toxic, I don't think that's the case. I saw a segment on "The Doctors" that put e-cigs in a positive light, but also pointed out that nicotine can cause heart disease :(
