Ok, so I have no experience with mechanical mods, only vv/vw devices. So on a mech mod, how do you know when the battery is around 3.0v and needs to be recharged? Especially if one is running sub ohm
Like I said, this is probably a stupid question
Not trying to be funny, but depending on the battery, you will notice a drop in warmth and vapor production, or the device will just stop firing all together. +1 for the multi-meter. Must have
I have a multi meter, it is what I use when rebuilding. So if I am out and about with a mech, I am just going to guess when I think the battery is close to dead?
Yeah, sorry man but that's kinda how it is. After a couple of days you will kinda learn how long the battery will last, and be able to expect the power drop. That's why I strayed away from my mech mod. For the most part it would last me all day but not always. Nothing sucks worse than a dead battery when you can't get to a charged one for a few hours.
It doesn't take long to get a feel for when to swap them out. At this point I rarely check voltage on batteries I think are ready to be charged. When I do check them they're almost always somewhere between 3.7 and 3.8v, sometimes as low as 3.5v.
