Up the nic. For 6 years I vaped 36mg nic, mtl, on a kayfun between 10 & 15 watts. I had tried 3 times before to vape but the higher nic did it for me. Just remember that even smoking one less cigarette a day is an improvement. Don't beat yourself up too much. Wish you the best!

12mg for me.
I think I actually prefer n.e.t now!!!

I’ve got a strawberry and it looks the bomb in this kayfun mini on kiss
But I think I prefer it’s neighbour in that whack looking ipv and kfun lite. net tobacco (diy), it’s like a good cigarette!
The funky flavours taste a bit... funky these days.
Get some tobacco vapes!

I've been reading this thread... haven't had anything to suggest but I might as well let you know I wish you the best, as well. The only way I could quit was using 36mg e-liquid with a (now old school) VV mod. Honestly you're better off now than you were back then... there's a ton of options to choose from now in terms of e-liquid, vapor production, vaping style, etc. It's just a matter of finding what works best for you. The best I can suggest is that if one level of nicotine isn't doing it for you, go higher. If it starts to bother your throat, vape at a lower wattage. Eventually you'll find your sweet spot. I'm cheering for you! You got this! :)

@Robbert ,
I think different things play into the switch and those different things have different levels of motivation/satisfaction to each switcher.
I was really disgusted with the side effects and how it influenced my life on a daily basis. The smell that I carried with me at work and business-social engagements was just frustrating to the point of anger. That ended up being a strong motivator for me. And, surprisingly, it made a big difference in my getting opportunities. People noticed that I quit smoking. I took all of my suits, etc to the cleaners so it was like an immediate break and the right people noticed. I think getting an "attitude" about the bad sides of smoking is powerful.
I started at a very high Nic level and it took me about 4-5 hours to realize that it would work. I didn't really have any guidance. I just took 3-5 hits and sat it out of sight, and I have come to learn the I was seriously taking small hits, too. I figured my body would tell me when I needed more Nic. I did immediately get a spare system and put that in my car. I am just not far from my car, so no excuses to buy a cig.
Really kind of funny since I did not vape just for the sake of vaping. Just the 3-4 hits per hour. Eventually, I got different strengths to help with different situations. Weaker for when watching TV and stronger for with my first coffee in the morning.
A great journey, but, it does take in my experience to have a little "attitude". Reminds me of Of a Mae from the movie Ghost.

Good luck!

Using WTAs in a pod-mod are the closest thing to a cigarette that I have used.

I currently do mostly sub-ohm vaping on squonk mods with 6mg, but still keep a few pod mods around, loaded with 36mg unflavored WTA or 24mg RY4 from Aroma. I use those when I need a more immediate nic fix, with a satisfying throat hit. I also use 45mg Mr Salt-E liquid in my pods, but even at high nic levels I don't get the same throat hit as WTA.

Short answer - you might try some 24 or 36mg WTA or 45mg nic salt based liquid in a pod mod.

How long does it take to get through withdrawals even using ecig?
It varies from person to person. Some have taken up vaping with the intent to just cut down their smoking with no intent of quitting, but found that vaping was just as enjoyable as smoking and stopping smoking was an unexpected after effect. Others have struggled with dual usage for years.

IMHO, much depends upon your individual determination to quit, the individual satisfaction you get from your gear and e-liquid, and avoiding circumstances that put you at risk to smoke (drinking alcohol, being around smokers, being under unusual stress, etc).
Are there any support forums online?
This one.

... using 15watts on a subtank Mini or kayfun is about perfect.
Gets me flavor, plenty of vapor, plus I prefer long restrictive DL hits over rest.

I think if I can find an on the go type mod, smaller than Pico it might help in the beginning.
I’m up to 3 packs a day and I’m using 3mg halo TriBeCa .Maybe go up in strength?

You definitely need to up your nic strength. 3 packs a day may require you to start vaping at 24mg, perhaps half that strength if you sub-ohm.

You could begin vaping while trying to cut down with the cigs (dual use), but only smoke HALF of a cigarette during those I GOT TO HAVE A CIGARETTE NOW! moments. Save the second half for the next bad craving. They'll taste bad, but that will help you quit.

Remember, its not how many cigarettes you smoke a day that is important, its how many you DIDN'T smoke that is.

I'll suggest the gear that I am currently using:

JAC Vapour series B DNA75W. Single battery mod using the top-of-the-line Evolv DNA chipset. 75 watts. It's small, sexy, and very pocket-friendly. Stellar reviews by nearly every You Tube reviewer. Available only online (Scotland) from the JAC Vapour website. Under $100. They use to offer free shipping if you buy the mod only, not sure if they still do that. I vape at 30 watts and get a full days use with a Samsung 30Q 3000mah 15 amp battery.

I use the Original Uwell Crown clearomizer tank. $23. It is technically a sub-ohm tank, but also has 1.2 ohm coils available if you choose not to sub-ohm. The ratcheted air control ring allows you to MTL or DL. There are four coil resistances available to choose from; I prefer the 0.5 ohm SS coils. Coils last me at least 4 weeks, and are available as a 4-pack for under $10. There is a mini version available, too.

I went from a pack a day to 5 a day my first week, then realized I wasn't feeling as satisfied vaping compared to smoking. So I decided to experiment with a mind trick. I successfully mind tricked myself by buying low capacity batteries with high Amps so I would get the satisfaction of draining a battery and safely vaping at higher temps, which I was using more juice and changing my batteries more frequently but hey it worked! Ultimately I kicked the habit because I hit a point where It just wasn't as satisfying to me as it was draining my batteries so frequently. I know I know, it sounds weird but hey whatever works right?

3mg is for sqounking

I concur with others here...3mg. is probably WAY too low...

Everyone is different, of course, but to maybe help you "gauge" where to start...

I (LOVED) smoking 1.5-2 packs/day for 50 years...

I bought a MTL Tank and 50W Mod...filled it with 12mg e-juice...took a couple puffs...then set it next to my pack of analogs...

4+ years later...EVERY TIME I've wanted to inhale some "smoke", exhale some "smoke" and get a hit of nicotine...I've reached for my E-Cigarette...

I was a pack to pack and a half analogs....it worked for me and that's a miracle!

Hey Weenie...Congratulations...:headbang:

I notice that your new banner does NOT compute "Money Saved"...

For me...knowing my Money Saved is quite useful in putting things into perspective when I'm contemplating buying more vape supplies...

(I'm guessin' you've figured out that you can "set up"--with your own stats--almost anyone's banner on ECF posts...just by clicking their banner)...

[If it matters...I chose the "Vapor Bomb Signature Banner Generator" because it included "Money Saved"...lists time Since Last Cigarette in "Years/Months/Days" rather than "1664 Days"...and avoids wasting a line for "# Cigarettes Avoided"--Who Cares???

Thank you! I will use one you suggested, I was just figuring out how it worked! I would rather see the money I saved!

I'm the first one... I figured with vaping, maybe I could cut back. Well, I wound up buying a ProVari.....we know how that goes.

High nic juice was a must for getting me off the cigarettes. Actual nic levels are hard to judge. If you are a MTL vapor 18mg to 24mg juice is the ticket. If you are into clouds, then the nic level will probably be half of that just because you are vaporizing much more juice in a single hit.

Whatever makes your ears ring slightly should be about right. :p

I can't help but remember high school days where we'd go out between classes and hot box a Marlboro Red and rush off to class with a buzz.
