It varies from person to person. Some have taken up vaping with the intent to just cut down their smoking with no intent of quitting, but found that vaping was just as enjoyable as smoking and stopping smoking was an unexpected after effect. Others have struggled with dual usage for years.
IMHO, much depends upon your individual determination to quit, the individual satisfaction you get from your gear and e-liquid, and avoiding circumstances that put you at risk to smoke (drinking alcohol, being around smokers, being under unusual stress, etc).
This one.
You definitely need to up your nic strength. 3 packs a day may require you to start vaping at 24mg, perhaps half that strength if you sub-ohm.
You could begin vaping while trying to cut down with the cigs (dual use), but only smoke HALF of a cigarette during those
I GOT TO HAVE A CIGARETTE NOW! moments. Save the second half for the next bad craving. They'll taste bad, but that will help you quit.
Remember, its not how many cigarettes you smoke a day that is important, its how many you DIDN'T smoke that is.
I'll suggest the gear that I am currently using:
JAC Vapour series B DNA75W. Single battery mod using the top-of-the-line Evolv DNA chipset. 75 watts. It's small, sexy, and very pocket-friendly. Stellar reviews by nearly every You Tube reviewer. Available only online (Scotland) from the
JAC Vapour website. Under $100. They use to offer free shipping if you buy the mod only, not sure if they still do that. I vape at 30 watts and get a full days use with a Samsung 30Q 3000mah 15 amp battery.
I use the
Original Uwell Crown clearomizer tank. $23. It is technically a sub-ohm tank, but also has 1.2 ohm coils available if you choose not to sub-ohm. The ratcheted air control ring allows you to MTL or DL. There are four coil resistances available to choose from; I prefer the 0.5 ohm SS coils. Coils last me at least 4 weeks, and are available as a
4-pack for under $10. There is a mini version available, too.
