Just a cool little thingI noticed today...I can taste and smell again. I haven't been at this very long, but it is awsome to be able to actually really taste some of my favorite things again. On the downside now that I am starting to smell things again I have found that my house really stinks like an aging ashtray at an all night bar...yuck.

I must say that I have been airing out all day, and at least my front room is smelling a bit more like red hots than nasty smokes. And it's kinda nice to have the haze gone too. I wiped down my walls (something I never do) and that made me gag, all the crappy residue from smoke is nasty, so worth it to vape the good smells and not have a cloud hovering the room while I try to relax

A little trick to help get that old ashtray smell out:

Leave small saucers of vinegar around the house. I know it sounds weird, and it'll smell like vinegar for a bit, but it really helps to get rid of the Cig smell. Something about the PH level or something. Try it!

I used apple vinegar and it worked great and didn't smell quite as bad as regular vinegar might have.

I'm glad that yours is returning. I may have totally blown both my taste buds and sense of smell. Some of it has returned but not to the extent that I would like. We will see as time goes by.

and now I have a horrible cold and can't smell, taste or vape. Glad when this crap is gone!

I got a pretty good cough when I kicked the analogs. My doc says it is one of the side effects. It lasted a few days but has cleared up.

When I first started vaping I had a horribly sore throat for right at 10 days and had read that it was a side effect from stopping the analogs.

This is a full blown cough due to cold (thank you Forrest Gump) but I'm fighting it as aggressivley as I possibly can withough prescription meds. My concern at this point is that it will turn into bronchitis. The only upside to that is if I do have to go to the doctor and he asks if I smoke I can say no!

It was bronchitis that caused me to switch. My brother switched about a year ago and gave me one of his "emergency" disposables because I was doing a great impersonation of a civil war cannon when I lit an analog. I ordered a magma from volcano the next day. The bronchitis is long gone but the cough is still intermittent. Lying in bed at night and just breathing feels great now. I used to wheeze a lot at night and it would keep me awake.

I hope your cold passes quickly. Bronchitis is an awful thing.
