I Can't Get No Satisfaction

Maybe I'm just a particularly picky guy. Possible.
Maybe being a chef has spoiled my taste buds. Likely.
Maybe I've set my expectations too high. I wouldn't be surprised.
Maybe vendors need to write MORE ACCURATE FLAVOR DESCRIPTIONS for their products. Indisputable.

Whatever the case may be, I'm just not enjoying MANY of the juices I've purchased. From the 5 or 6 vendors I've tried so far, the only one to impress me was MyFreedomSmokes.com, which I generally enjoy MUCH more than the ones purchased from companies more well known for their juices (chocolate hazlenut has become my main vape recently). Unfortunately, even with them I find a good amount of the flavors I've purchased to be noticeably "artificial" tasting. I understand the desire by many for sweet, candy tasting juices. They are delicious. Just nothing I'd use much more than trying them out that first time, and again once they've steeped. I want authentic taste in my vape, whether that taste be fruit, tobacco, chocolate, or otherwise. To me, it's like the difference between using fresh garlic, and using garlic powder. Those who can tell KNOW, and appreciate the difference.

I'm sure I just haven't found my favorite brand (juice vendor) yet. Got some pipe sauce on the way, and Virgin Vapor (recently recommended to me by all you awesome vapers on this forum) is up next on the "to buy" list, but I'm open to more suggestions from the vape community. Thanks and sorry for the wordy ramblings.

perhaps DIY would be the way to go being a chef is should come naturally to you, I haven't bought vendor juice in over a year, there is a lot of good juice out there but in my mind my DIY is the best.

Gandalf is a tobacco juice. Did you try any non-tobaccos?

This is why I started DIY over 9 months ago. I just couldn't get enough flavor. Hated the artificial sweetness. I'm an old Italian mama, been cooking for over 30 years, make my own sauce, pasta, everything natural. So why shouldn't I give the same amount of care to my e-liquids?

I heartily recommend giving DIY a try.

Not everyone has the time, the energy, or the inclination to DIY. The man is asking for juice vendor suggestions. "Just DIY your own" isn't very helpful in that regard.

I'm looking for a nice tobacco flavor. I have plenty of fruit flavors, none from HHV. I've been reluctant to try DIY simply because i fear the SAME EXACT problem, just from the flavorings instead of the e liquids.

I like the Vermillion River brand ejuice the georgia peach taste like a peach even the banana bread taste authentic. Give em a try.

I second that recommendation. The Nice Pear tastes just like a ripe pear even down to the "grainy"ness of a pear, if you know what I mean. It is by Heather's Heavenly Vapes.

Heather's uses NET as the tobacco, not tobacco "flavor". NET is naturally extracted tobacco.

I checked that out... I disagree with alot of his reviews. We just don't have the same tastes. I got a bottle of swagger, and I almost tossed the atty. One of the worst things I've ever vaped. I'll give it another go in 2 weeks, but I'm not lookin forward to it. Chef Josh gave it 5 stars all the way around.

My favorite tobaccos From HHV: Shadowfax, Pirate's Booty, Dragon's Fire, Serendipity. Shadowfax is remarkable (to me, ymmv).

Swagger is one of those odd juices that I like better when it's fresher.

I remember looking at all of those before I got Gandalf. I especially wanted to try Dragon's Fire, but the nerd in me got the best of the situation.

Over on the HHV thread that I pointed you to, we have just started a top five list of our favs. If you start to read from pg 748, you will get an idea of what the favs are so far. That thread has some great detailed reviews of different juices. It just takes some time to find them all. LOL. We do like to talk over there.

I'm really found of RY4. I've got different vendors sitting in the steeping box right now. The one that got me hooked was ECBlends RY4, Also like and enjoy chocolate hazelnut, and chocolate/vanilla 555. All these came from ECBlends. I know the monkey will shoot me but I haven't even dipped into the HHV blends I got. Except for the blueberry muffin and I couldn't resist dripping just a few drops. But I'll be the first to admit that my tastebuds are still pretty well smoked out at this time.
