For valentines day I went on craigslist and purchased a used 30gig Ipod video to replace the one that was stolen back in October. I spent a little more than I usually would on a used one, but figured no one else was buying me a valentines day gift. I don't know why I waited so long. I've been listening to the same 6 cd's in the car for the last 4+ months. It was the best gift to myself ever....I don't know what I'd do without music....

Sorry FSUSA...guess I'll have to wait for the next sale....I am a much happier person now though... ;)

**beware...the doublemint is addictive :) **

I love music too Maureen and know what you mean. I have a little music ipod I take with me on the 4wheeler when I go out to check the cattle and have all the family convinced that my favorite gift for any holiday is a prepaid iTunes card.

Most of my music is from the 50's and 60's, but that's another good reason to go to Tucson. They have a fine Oldies station on the radio!

I still have plenty of 10ml bottles from the last sale that I haven't given a fair shake...still can't seem to enjoy chocolate flavors yet....which sucks because I really want to like the snickerz and heath bar. I've found that the Doublemint is awesome and that I need to order more fruity stuff....

TT...I swear I could live without cable (not that I'd want to) but could NOT live without music.

Yeah but Maureen; ya need some juice to go along with the tunes.

Alternative/Rock/Hard Rock/Metal....I'm weird...If I like it I know it when I hear it. I will even admit to listening to stuff like eminem and coldplay. Although mosh pits have always been my fav...so most of the concerts I attend have them....

I've been cranky because they got rid of our last "New Rock" station around philly a while ago and finding new music is difficult anymore. I find that one of my friends in Ohio sends me good new music suggestions. They had the best station out in Columbus, but they killed that station before I moved back here to PA years ago. If anyone has a good hard rock/rock kind of station that has live streaming I'd love to hear about it...

Maureen, what kind of music do you listen to? I am a huge fan as well..I love most alternative/rock the most

I live without cable. I use an attenna for the digital stations and then subscribed to netflix. Now I just pay $10/mth for unlimited watching lol

I used to live in Philly (now back in York, PA) sorry to hear the station is gone. Was it ysp? Try 98rock Baltimore. I've always listened to them. Other than that the iTunes radio stations are pretty good. Alot of hard rock/metal on there

Maureen, you should try last.fm. I guess it's like Pandora, you can play an artist and it suggests others that are similar or something you'd like. I found a lot there that way. And I don't think I could live without my iPod!

BTW, I had an aunt & uncle that lived in Trainer, on Forest St. You're very close to me, so if you ever need anything, just give a shout.

Sue

P.S. Do you remember WIOQ? That used to be my favorite station back in the day for prog music, so depressing to find it wasn't here any more when I moved back.

I'm pretty sure they don't play that kind of music down here in the Piney Woods.

Unless George Jones is singing with them ...

You are a smart man. Cable is way over rated and expensive. The only reason that I have it is because of the internet. I get a good package deal.

Oh yeah?? Well how about the real wonderful stuff like mama getting run over by the train while waiting for me to get out of jail? Now that there's tear jerkin' good music! Or Whiskey for my Men and Beer for My Horses? That's a classic!! And Willie singing "On The Road Again." I mean, there just isn't better music than that!

Thanks Sue :) My sister happens to live on Forest street...that is one of the main reasons I purchased the house I did...close to her and my parents.

I'll check lastfm out. I've definitely found I'm a much much happier person with my ipod...even if it's used and has a cracked screen. I can fix the thing anyway if I really want to, but as long as I have the music...it's all good.
