I was soooo tired of cigarettes. I wanted to quite bad, and tried everthing to help. first i tried the patch but after 5 min of having it on i broke out in blister under it and that was not good, than onto the gum can i say YUCK so i knew that was going to work. so i broke down and call my doc and got a Rx for chantix i was too sick to my tummy to think about a cig ( but that is not how i wanted to quite eather) and on top of that my insurance did not cover the Rx and it coast me $140 for 2 weeks of it.

So when i found a add for E-cig i thought to my self 1 more try at quiting smoking, if this did not work there were just going to have to send me to my after life with a cig in my hand.

The first day i had 3 cig, 2nd and 3rd day down to 2cigs. That night i looked at my last pack of cigarettes and it was empty and a funny thing happened for the first time i did not panic and run out and buy a pack. i have not had a cig after the 3rd day using my E-cig. ( and have not killed my hubby or kids lol.

I cant ever thank the maker of E-cigs enough!!!!!!!!:D:D

Great personal story about the usefulness of e-cigs as a harm reduction strategy. Lots of folks on this forum were able to stop very soon after they began vaping. Stick with it and, remember, you have an entire community to turn to for support.

*Ain't* that the truth. I was telling the wife this morning that with so many people giving support and with SO many stories of folks who never looked back after vaping that I'd feel like a weakling if I went back. This community is A.A. -- Analogs Anonymous. (A.A. -- is that used already?) lol

That's awesome Bria :)

I didn't think it was going to work either, but I said what the heck, one more try... try out the ecigarette and try and quit, but it's the last time I'm going to try quitting cigarettes. It cost too much to try quitting all the time.

There's still a half pack of ciggies in my car that I haven't smoked, or wanted to smoke since I started vaping.
It was what was left of the pack I was smoking on when my ecig came in the mail...over 3 weeks ago.
I kept it there "just in case" but never needed it...guess its time to toss it or give it away... because I'm not going back to smoking cigarettes.

Good job! I don't smoke analogs anymore either. I love my e-cig.

I feel better than I did when I was smoking, and I just love this method. It feels much cleaner, somehow than smoking a real ciggarette which is all hot and nasty with all that death they pack into it.

They are truly a wonderful invention. I don't think I intend on not using these in the future(unless my government forces me to) and can't believe how many people say "WHAT?" when I tell them about this. Genius invention.

I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I'm getting more

Sorry, I just wanted to rave about it more.

Bria,

I went through exactly the same thing with the patch, gum and Chantix! I also tried the prescription inhaler. Nothing helped! But now with my PV I feel totally different, analogs taste funny and I'm trying all kinds of new flavors!

It's an adventure and one that I'm really enjoying! I really think it will be easy to get down to 0 nic and great flavors but I'm taking it slow so I don't have a minute of missing analogs!

Truthfully the only problem is finding the right PV for you, then getting enough spare parts and juice. I'm extremely happy with the 510, bought an USB cable and lots of spare parts. I have lots of juice and more on the way, a USB to AC and car charger ordered too. So I'm looking at PCC's and probably going to buy several more kits as they seem cheaper then the parts. I'm hoping the government doesn't come down on PV's but it seems any enjoyment deserves a sin tax and they have to determine exactly what PVs are before they can tax them, so I'm planning for the long haul!

Happy Vaping!

Magnolia, you are stronger than I am. I purposely finished my last pack of Marlboro Lights and smoked the wife's Merit Ultra Light 100s for a few days before I started to vape. I despise her cigarettes. They don't draw like mine did, they're too damn long and they give me headaches. So, I punished myself with them as a primer to vaping. Those Merits are on the kitchen counter and I have no urge to pick one up. If it were my brand... well, I just didn't want that temptation.
