Take the tan colored anchors off of the screws. Mix up equal parts of JB Weld and apply a thin coat around the inside walls of the white colored tubes that they push into. Press the tan anchors into the tubes and clamp them (if you can) for 24 hours. Then reattach your top plate and put the screws back in.

This would be the easiest thing to try, it's amazing what JB Weld will stick to.
JBweld is metal filled epoxy. If epoxy won’t stick it won’t stick

I don't think the OP tried to epoxy the posts just the top plate to the wood. She could try regular epoxy in the holes as well, I just always have JB Weld on hand and it's stuck to everything I've tried so far except nylon and I usually just melt it back together.

Depending on the plastic type, It’s not impossible this will require either replacement of the holders or a friction fit. To make that work would require not sanding the outside of the sleeves but burring them, which is a much less common practice, and then pressing the sleeves back into the holders.
While true that some plastics don't let glue to stick to it, if you look in the pictures there is still glue stuck to the anchors. So I don't think that will be an issue.

It does have unusually pointy steel grains in it which might serve to grab things. I guarantee it’s steel filled epoxy though.

What kind of glue?
What is the point of this? Just to start crap? You bored and need to assert yourself online to fill those empty gaps in your life? Won't work on me, go back to the mech mod recommendation post and start that back up if your bored and need some arguments to keep you going.

Hehe. Still mad I dared comment in the sacred space huh? It will happen again most likely.

Why did I ask what kind of glue? Because there are glues that stick to plastics that epoxy won’t stick to and it might be one of them. Simple. He already apparently had a problem making epoxy stick where he needed it. I commented that surface prep can matter for epoxy, then he posted pics showing a very smooth white plastic.

Epoxy is a material I’ve dealt with for 50 years or so. My dad was in science and loved the stuff. It was one of the things, along with sharpies, that he had access to before much of the general public. (Sharpies btw, originally designed for marking scientific glassware. You can put it through an autoclave)
There’s a few oddities about the use of epoxy compared to other glues. One is that it doesn’t like super thin layers much. It actually works better when spread a bit thick. Also it’s adhesion is improved a lot by clamping, and it can produce a good deal of heat when it cures which can sometimes matter.
Fillers can sometimes make it stronger and more heat resistant depending on the filler. This is one reason JBweld works so well. It’s stuffed with tiny slivers of steel.

So if I put the anchors back in place, and screw the top back on, is there anything I should do for the metal plating itself? I don’t want to run the risk of things being too loose.
I would not suggest doing this yourself. It looks like the white tapped plastic sleeves (2 places) with the exterior screws attached, have been stripped from the female standoffs. Someone needs assemble the standoff assembly and knows what their doing.
Might want to take it into Ft. Collins:
To any of the guns/arms stores/hobby shops, could phone first.

Sorry it’s been a while, everyone. I can’t find anyone near me who knows how to help. Soooo I did it myself. So far it has worked, let’s just hope it holds

You did an excellent job Klargirl. Way to go!!! :) You have a gorgeous stabwood mod.

As Daniel mentioned you may want to visit and post your photo's in the stabwood thread. There are many tips there on the care of stabwood mods.
