i dont know what atomizer this is

Hey everyone,

Not sure what atomizer I have and whether it would be better for me to buy a new one or try to do some of my own builds. I got it when i got my 14500 bagua clone from my local B&M. They have built the coil a few different times but I think i want to try to do some different things, maybe different wick material or different wire to get better results taste and vape wise. Any thoughs on what this rda is called? if its any good? Im new to the whole mod/rebuildable scene. any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

i dont have one. when i was in the shop i saw them test it. it was @.9ohms

Do you wick it yourself?..you need an ohmmeter. Harbor freight is always giving them away..$5 if you can't find a coupon. It's not great, but it will at least tell you if you have a short.

theres no short. i just put some cotton in the coil every so often...really weird though is when i put new wick i get a nasty burnt taste for a while. it eventually goes away and gives good flavor and vape.

How do you know there isn't a short?..cuz your battery hasn't blown up? You don't see the short? How do you know if the center pin is making contact with body or not?

edit...I know it was measured at the shop already.

you need an ohm meter for sure as everyone else has stated. but you also need training on how to build coils. check out youtube videos on how to build coils would be my first thought and also read everything you can on this forum about coil building. you really need to know your coil's ohm reading and if there is a short so you don't blow off your face.. If you follow the fairly simple rules you will be fine.
