Congratulations, you've made it!

I was in the same position. I smoked analogs for 20 years, but in my 15th or 16th year, I got so sick of the health problems and social stigmas that I actually quit cold turkey for about 9 months.

What got me back on them? Needing to smoke when I had a drink. I wasn't able to quit analogs again until I discovered vaping in May.

Keep calm and vape on. :)

Congrats! I was in a wedding yesterday and drank quite a bit at the reception and didn't have any urge to smoke either. I also went outside with the smokers and was perfectly content vaping with my new favorite PV, my MVP2.0 I just got friday. I also had a friend that that vapes as well so that does kind of help.
I play darts every Tuesday night in a bar league and haven't smoked while doing that either, for 8 weeks now. It's nice not having to go outside in the cold to smoke.

Congrats to you as well, 8 weeks is a great milestone! I do have to agree, vaping in a warm building is FAR better than smoking out in the cold!

Ahhh..... Vaping and Sam Adams... 2 of my favorite things!!!

Dev raises a winter lager in a toast to Mark Anthony, then finishes with a hit from the VTR

Thank you Myrany!

On a side note, how do you like the REO? I've been considering one ... like I need more gear ...

Looks around sheepishly for the vape purchase police........the hubby just bought me REO #2.

It is my go to all day every day device with one exception. I have VERY tiny hands and have trouble driving with anything much bigger than a cigalike. SO driving I don't use it otherwise....
try and pry it out of my hand.

So that begs the question ... what do you use when you are driving?

I got a free sample greensmoke cigalike kit awhile back. That is actually what I drive with. Unless I forgot to fill the cartos and then I just grab my ego + evod.

I have been looking at the eRoll for just when I'm riding my motorcycle. I have tried other cigalike kits, but the batteries are just a bit to heavy to keep clenched in my mouth, but the eRoll seems to be about the smallest/lightest one going right now, so I hope it will work. Smoking is easy with my open face helmet, finding an ecig that works is not so easy ... :(

The eRoll is something people either love or hate. I personally wouldn't try it for one simple reason. It uses the same little atomizers that my ego-C starter kit came with. FOR ME (note this is only my experience) they were a nightmare of clogging and massive painful dry hits that would start up a 4 day sinus headache. I got rid of the EGO-C atomizer/tank system within 2 weeks of starting vaping it was so miserable for me.

The attys are small. They are prone to clogging (If I got a full day on one I was pleased). They are rather expensive.

Yeah, I'm afraid I will be on the "Hate it" list, but it is the smallest, lightest weight cigalike that I can find, and when trying to keep my vape gear clenched between my lips and teeth, while using both hands to control the motorcycle, small and light is critical. I would rather lose an eRoll battery than my Legend or eVic because I had to drop it to avoid losing control of my bike.

Thanks for the opinions though, I really appreciate it!

Have you considered a disposable like the nJoy king or another similar? I know the king is soft and easy to bite onto.

I like this thread.

I haven't been drunk in a while, probably won't be another month or two. That'll be a test as I like to chain smoke when drinking. But your post gives reassurance it isn't all bad.

There is hope! I won't lie, it was hard getting to this point. I don't get drunk often, but even just one or two drinks was REALLY hard for me. This time around was different, I didn't even want one at all. I hope it will be easier for you to get to this point.

Good luck!

I have, even used one a couple of times, but I would really like something more permanent. The disposables don't last long, and cost adds up quick, not to mention I can't use my own juice. The nJoy king is the best of the disposables from the perspective of clenching in my mouth, almost like a real smoke, but it really sucks from most other aspects of vaping and is not cost effective to boot. If I could get them for $2-3, then it would be a much more viable option for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, it is greatly appreciated ... the good news is that I don't have to worry about it until spring ... that gives me time to keep looking for something ... :)
