So I was cleaning out the vape drawer and found something I didn't even know I still had... a Fluid Flask. I also found some brand spanking new cartos still in the packaging. I took one out, punched two holes in it, primed it, put it in the tank and let it sit for a few minutes to let the filler material saturate with liquid. With all the new subohm tanks, RDA's and some many other stuff coming out at an insane rate I forgot how incredibly nice a simple carto tank is. Lot's of flavour and vapour production and I just love that crackling sound. It's like walking down nostalgia lane.

I'm a firm believer in cartotanks! For me (Tootle Puffer) they are the best vape I can buy! I still use them everyday!

I did kinda the same thing with an old protank 2 a couple of months back. Found it in a draw with a couple of coils. So I washed it, put in a coil, filled the tank let it sit for 10 minutes. Took a mouth to lung hit....and it flooded  tryed again..same thing..flooded.

Yep, that is my memory lane exactly as I remember it, lots of flooding and gurgling.lol :)

Glad your exprience was better than mine though :)

I've never had any flooding with a carto tank but I did with the Protank 2. That thing leaked all over the place. I now have a 2ohm carto in the Fluid Flask vaping Indo Tea on a ProVari 2.5 set at 4.3 volts... damn, this is just so nice. Why did I stop using this thing?

Im still a lover of a carto in a nice tank. I can see being limited if using a carto-tank on a mech or ego type battery. Used with a VV-VW they shine and give giant clouds.

If it wasnt for my NETs and heavy VG pref I would still be using them.

I hope they dont have an expiration date, as I still have a big bag full and 3 nice tanks.

BTW, I have that P3 military edition and love it.

My affair with carto's was a short time...very short. SMOK DCT's from reviews, threads and reading were the way to go at the time so I bought some along with carto's and a punch. Flood, leak and dryhits were the norm with these nasty little beasts, I just couldn't get them to work properly. I went as far to take them apart to R&R the coils and wicking but to no avail. I eventually PIF them all to a friend from a virtual game and I paid the shipping.
For the protanks, my wife after 2 years plus still uses then daily on her provari. I rebuild her coils so flooding and dryhits are not a issue with her. I have since graduated to kayfuns but my wife is in it for the long haul with her protanks. ;)

As an aside: When I first started using my ibtankeds, Boba's Bounty was my all day vape. It really shined in my cartotanks! You can vape 100% VG in them easily. I bought this saddle valve at Lowe's for a couple of bucks and it's a phenomenal carto punch!
Shop Watts 1/4-in Brass Compression In-Line Straight Valve at Lowes.com
All I did was widen the existing holes in the carto with it. It fed flawlessly with them widened. This is what the widened holes look like. That's Boba's in the tank. It works great!

PT2 Flooding = siphoning a gas tank
Order the AFC base and open it up for better air flow. no more flooding.

Not sure why I'm not using my cartos...........other than replacement supply issues. They always gave me a great mellow vape, whether straight or in a tank combo.

Hmmm...........Maybe I'll break out a tank and the VG Custard clone I mixed.

I'm not using mine because they're the REALLY old kind with black wrappers that have to be peeled, and it's a major pain-in-the-brain. But I'll think it over.
Maybe just use them without a tank, refill every couple of hours for a night or so.
