Ok to be totally upfront. I'm mentally disabled I'm bipolar and schizophrenic. Contrary to popular belief we are non violent and love able. I only have mild forms of both and to many to list minor mental illness. Most notable is ADHD. People usually freak out cause people that all schizophrenic people are violent murders. Not say y'all think that way but I'm still gunshy talking about this but I feel close to my thread mates here.

No one here is gonna think of you one IOTA differently for that; and it's very cool that you think enough of the rest of us enough to be upfront about it. It's SO essential that the whatever stigma lingers (amongst the ignorant) is finally obliterated. The only way that'll happen is when people realize that so many of their friends and family have been coping with various forms of these struggles all along, but they just haven't spoken up about it. But even more props to you for kicking substance-abuse stuff earlier in your life because that sure can compound things!

I've tried most everything from AVE, and I burned out on it long ago (something very similar tasting in most of their juices). Also, although I've read and believe that they HAVE cleaned up their act, my CC got jacked from THAT site, without a doubt. Personally, I'm not ordering from there anymore...even though it's quite petty of me. If you love graham crackers, Boba's Bounty is very graham crackery. For me, the NET hoopla is not hype, and those are the juices I'm blowing way more money that I should on. I'll say that Christy's Coffee from AVE is a pretty lovely coffee vape. You're in very good company with your frustrations, hottie. I don't think their juices would blow your mind. But, then again, clearly some minds have been blown by the stuff.

BB in 2008 when I gave recovery one last shot drs told me if I used again the meds may not work and my mind could be gone with out recall. I from prior work in 2006 and 07 had started to love myself enough to really try. I also believe having a 148 iq is a blessing and a curse. I can see things and understand but can't put it into words. It's hard for me to write even though I was a published poet. I am a deeply gifted public speaker. I'm a contradiction lol. I'm a much better speaker than a written Fourm person. I can't spell and some time spell check is like huh what is that word I can't help you sorry.

Juices and protanks. Protanks are very airy and heavy. juice tastes off but I will break them in and see. They look wonderful on the prothingy.

You found it worked OK out of the box? I think they got it more right than the Vapeonly Mega. I had to wash the whole Protank in hot water when I got it. The foam filler in that nice black box is awful and makes the contents stink. Some of it was even stuck to the tank. Fail on the packing.

After washing, and about half a tank vaped, the Protank really starts to perform. If you don't have good flavour yet, wash the tank and all parts in hot water.

Play with the lighter draw a bit before you write it off. With a light draw you get to control how much air flows over the coil, which can optimise the vapour produced. Also, with the bottom coil the harder you have to suck the more chance it will flood. This problem gets worse the lower the level in the tank is since there is more room for air expansion and this equates to more more juice being pulled through the wick. The Vapeonly works as well as the Protank, but I only got there by modifying both the draw and the wicks.

I've dinged the mouthpiece on the Protank up pretty badly. The metal in the top piece is copper with chome plate over the top. I had it on the Vamo in my inside coat pocket and when I bent down to the put the lead on the dog it slipped out and took a header straight onto the tiled floor. I had to file the tip down so it wasn't rough and sharp where it hit but apart from that it was OK.

The principle of Ave had some health problems and (I think) was in hospital and laid up for some time. Everyone ran of the fabled Bobo's Bounty. The hype generated during this time was huge with everyone running around buying up the last bottles etc.

Now that it's in production again I've seen posts from people who have tried it and didn't like it, however it would probably need the usual two week steep since it is basically a tobacco (RY4 or similar) vape with some additions.

Strangely enough, I've also finished up at the same place for my ADV - a modified RY4 with minimal flavourings. Two week steep does make a large difference. I've never tried Boba's however.

That's odd, I didn't have to touch it, wicked in 30 seconds from filling the tank and never had a dry hit. I run 70/30 PG/VG, maybe yours is thicker.

I've also still got the first coil in there, haven't had to change it yet but it's getting close.

I'm glad you didn't have a problem with not washing it first Fer, but I gotta tell ya', I'm way wary of doing that myself. I did that once and once only ... it looked totally clean and I didn't notice any smell of machine oil but man, when I went to use it, UUUGGGGHHHH!! Nasty, nasty, nasty ... I can't say that enough yet I probably already said it too much.

From that point on, I wash everything I get first; warm sudsy water, rinse, repeat and then let it dry before I use it. I know folks use stuff right away all the time and have never had a problem but for me personally, I'd rather be certain there's no residues remaining.

I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, I just don't want someone to end up getting sick because that stuff ain't good for ya'.

Sometimes my spell check doesn't figure out what I'm trying to type. I just find a way to say the same thing with a different word.

Yes, I even wash coils! Some might think that is borderline obsessive and perhaps it is a bit but it's quick and easy so why not? However with those I usually just do an alcohol soak. I know you don't like to use that stuff so you could just do a quick suds bath and rinse. There's less chance of contaminants with those but it's not zero either. There is no oversight on Chinese manufacturing so I don't trust them to make sure they are safe to use right off the bat.

I'm no pro but I have learned a couple of things along the way and hopefully I can help someone, especially friends, avoid some of the mistakes that I made!

I had that taste in my mouth for at least a full day so it's something that sticks in my mind. If you've ever tried to siphon gasoline, you probably have a good idea of what I'm talking about!
