Can I get a link to the chapters.

I never let my iPad sit neglected like lately. Poor lil guy. I might get a mini once they go retina. I like gaming on it but I've been on my Xbox a lot and my phone reads just as well. I can't go stand alone kindle anymore because iBooks collection is kinda up there.

Chapter-1 The Beginning a new drip tip and mod

Chapter-2 To Bobo or not to Bobo, that is the question

Chapter-3 A Tank and a Tangent

Chapter-4 A Mystery Solved/Bobo Fever

Chapter-5 Bobo at Last...almost

Chapter-6 Bobo at Last...I hope

Chapter-7 Bobo at Last...I promise this is the last one!

Oh, Peekebe, your description of the magic of real books has made my day. As an English teacher and bibliophile, I couldn't have possible said it better:closedeyes:. The very old (first version) Kindle that I was gifted long ago gets very little use for just the reasons you describe (because of this here forum, my former devouring of books has become a leisurely repast, I'll admit:blush:, but I do enjoy my time here). That said, HURRAH for chelle's wonderful new e-reader:)! Because of my bum colon, I don't get out as much as I should, but those little guys sure are easier to just throw in your purse and go, no question. But, also, YAY, Peekebe, for that lovely paean!

I can not bring myself to get a e-reader. I love the smell of books way to much. I like the way the pages sound as you turn them, and how you can tell if it is a favorite by the dog-eared pages. The sound when you crack the binding for the first time, and how some just fall to your favorite page because it has been opened, studied, and fallen asleep on. How certain parts can conjure your childhood dreams, and the pages come so close to letting you in you can almost taste it. How small water drops can show the tears you shed for characters that became your best friends, and rumpled pages point out how hard you were laughing.

This is why I resisted for so long, just got my kindle this past Christmas. I still have a basement full of books that I will never be able to part with. Unfortunately with my schedule I have to read or listen on the go constantly so carrying around books just doesn't work for me. I do however still buy physical copies of books I love, and usually end up getting them signed at readings or conventions.

Look at my history I popped in and said hi in them lol

I just looked at your posts, that is bizarre. ECF might be glitchy today, when I came back to this page a few seconds ago the posts ended with becky's owl. when I refreshed it the other posts came back.

This wouldn't fit in my thesis blog (If it weren't for the image limit the blog would have been much shorter). It's the sodalite drip tip from Mr. vape on the Bobo.
i do love that drip tip
This will be my first e-reader of ANY kind, so you are far ahead of me! The only thing is, I won't be able to take it into the bathtub...
i don't have any kind of anything...no kindle, no ipad, no tablet....
i never took books in the bath anyway...i am way too fidgety...and baths do NOT relax me...i get all grumpy cuz i think the tub is too small, the water too cold, whatever LMAO

^^ had to repost because it is just so stinkin' cute. there is a wild bird refuge/rehabilitation center about 30 miles away that one of my moto friends volunteers with. i got to meet the cutest little owl named Lucy...she will forever be a resident of the refuge because her eyes were damaged...probably by a predator when she was a baby

I LOVE the BOBO blogs!!! I love him! His tip is perfect!!!! BTW, I am NOT a sheep!
Also, I could only get to chapters 6 and 7 via your link in this thread, Ocelot. I was breathless after Chapter 5!
You are correct in that he only looks his best in a Protank...see there IS a reason you ordered the Protank!

"Segelei" sounds GERMAN to me...

Thank you very much BB, that is a wonderful compliment. And I agree.... Hooray for Chelle and a purple case...drool, love purple. I can see how much easier they would be, for sure. ;)

Well, I've read every last word of our feline Princess' magnum opus of a review, and BRAVISSIMA (in keeping with pseudo-Italian class) -

I read Chapter 4, and now -

!!

My dad was given David Brooks' Bobo book; it's in my folks' bookshelf downstairs (all of us are a little too left of him to have read it yet). When I've done the google search, of course that's come up at the top of the results, too (well, not the very top;)), but I never dreamed that that could be the link. Some of the other possibilities that you list (and also those traumatic memories of the Bobo doll:p) were all higher on my list of the real possible inspirations for your new "potential centerpiece" (did anyone else imagine a hilarious vape nut wedding when Fab mentioned that?) than a shared connection with a conservative's book. But you sleuthed it out and explained it beautifully! The "Bobo is curious" pic is inspired:laugh:, and you even got in some sacred Python:2cool:!

Having witnessed the whole journey, I'm feeling a little like Linda Richman -

But Linda Richman (and her ilk) also inspired the one and only tweak I'd dig in all 7 parts. You say that your one niggle about your beloved Bobo is that the cross-threading is not like butter; maybe it's 'cause of all my NY relatives that like buttah would tickle me. But I'd bet that's just me.

The pages at the bottom didn't work?

Could be. Are you saying it with a Chinese accent?

My dad was given David Brooks' Bobo book; it's in my folks' bookshelf downstairs (all of us are a little too left of him to have read it yet).

I vaguely recall reading an interview with him when the book came out. While searching for some good quotes I came across an editorial that ripped him pieces. It was written sometime later and was using him as an example of someone who had made a career out of pseudo-science.

When I've done the google search, of course that's come up at the top of the results, too (well, not the very top;)), but I never dreamed that that could be the link.
It must be a mistake no one has caught yet. I haven't seen any similar words on top of a page like that.

You say that your one niggle about your beloved Bobo is that the cross-threading is not like butter; maybe it's 'cause of all my NY relatives that like buttah would tickle me. But I'd bet that's just me.

That's a ProVarinati in-joke. ProThingy threads are always described as being like butter - even by PBusardo.

I'm glad you enjoyed my little journey. I had fun with it. :)
