Congrats Steph.

There's no good way to say this. It's the internet. I'm gonna get trounced. But...

How big is that Steph? Can you post a pic with it by a dollar bill, or in your hand, or next to a quarter.

My 2 battery 14500 vv box mods, that last me 2 days, fit in the palm of my hand. However, they are not VW, don't have readouts, etc.

Also, anyone know of the amp limit on the VAMO? I'm too lazy to look.
I have been running my vamo in single 14500 setup. In that config the vamo itself is 4.25 inches long, The extender ring to let you run bigger batteries is 1.25 inches long. SO total for the vamo would be about 5.5 inches.

Then whatever delivery device you put on it would add to it.

The VAMO is not as big as I thought it would be. In this picture I'm using my VAMO in the "big" mode with an NCR18650B Panasonic unprotected battery right now, Kanger ProTank on top, and I am really ok with this length, I bet shorty mode is even cuter and stealthier :)

From left to right in the picture I have a SMOK ego style battery 900mah I believe, then my vv 1300mah Vision Spinner, a tube of mascara, a quarter, the VAMO, and a $5 bill. At the top you can see my eyeglasses.

Ok, are any of you surprised at the size?

here's another, the $5 bill is taller than the VAMO in long mode...
omg, is the VAMO winking at us?!!! :D

look at that CUTE face!! lol ...all snuggled up with the iclear 16 (and fingerprints and gosh I need to juice that iclear up!!)

Cool! we are talking about a Vamo now. :)

Has anyone have an opinion on the Vamo vs the eVic? My local B&M is getting the eVic in and I'm leaning toward it but would like to get some opinions.

This is one interesting thread. LOL!

The eVic from what I have gathered from Reviews does some cool things (I don't own one so take this with a grain of salt, sea salt preferably) such as not letting you over do it to where you burn your wicks in VW mode. You also get a puff counter and it gives you some feedback on you vaping habits, but is a bit of a pain to use in the menus and so on and is less intuitive then some other devices. The other nice thing about the eVic is that the way it uses power does not produce the rattle snake sound you get from almost every other VV device outhere even the Vamo.

The Vamo is a very versatile little beast with VV/VW and can really be a joy to use. It has your typical menu navigation for a three button APV and the screen is really easy to read. It does a lot and it does it well, you can hook just about anything you want toot and get great results. There are a few drawbacks. It does make the rattlesnake sound, it's high polish finish scratches and can make it more slippery then some textured mods, but really it's more of a matter of personal preference here.

If they were the same pricei would still pick the Vamo, but I don't care about puff counters or feel the need to hook my PV up to a computer. I don't think you could go wrong either way to be honest.

Conclusion:Just get a Provari :D

I think the vamo has an amp limit of 5 but dont quote me on that, I don't have one. I snagged an SVD off the classys from a friend instead so that'll be my first tubestyle VW toy.

ETA: I was very excited about VW when mod makers first talked about coming out with it but I don't think it's turned out to be as great as people thought. If you scan ECF you'll notice a lack of enthusiasm from people who ordered the VW as compared to those who have VV. It's not dramatic but if you read between the lines you can pretty much tell that they're just not as thrilled as the VV people are. With a few exceptions, all of my other mods are VV so maybe I'm biased and if I am I don't want to unfairly mislead you folks.

Stick a carto, atty, RBA, what ever on the mod at what ever ohm, set the voltage to the taste you like and get on with your day. Like a cool vape, turn down the voltage. Like a hot vape, turn it up, like it really hot, turn it way up... 25 watts will blow your head off. You have to make the decision what's more important to you... all I can tell you is don't buy a mod just for the sake of getting one right away, just wait for one that going to meet your wants and needs. And when you have found that mod right for you, and still have money leftover, then knock yourself out and buy more toys like I did. Good news, you don't have to go at it alone. Follow Phil Busardo on youtube PBusardo's Vaping Reviews - YouTube I pretty much agree with him most of the time and I like him. Sometimes it's easier to let other people do the thinking for you
:vapor:
You're getting an SVD?!! Congrats, those look like an amazing deal!! I watch Phil Busardo, love him to pieces, he's so smart and informative and funny too :)

On the watts issue vs variable voltage, I have been using my vv spinner with the protank, so I'm familiar with that and I know that if I turn the volts up to 4.3 I'm going to start getting a crispy burnt taste going on that I do not like. (using 80/20 PG/VG from mtbakervapor)

I didn't use the ohm's law calculator on the VAMO when I first switched it to RMS mode in order to go by VW instead of VV. I started low like at 3.5 watts I believe, and worked my way up to 9 watts before I noticed a flavor about to be burnt warning.

Looking at the ohm's law calculator (Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator ) afterwards, I saw that using a 2.5ohm resistance at 8 watts that I was at about 4.4 volts, BUT, it tastes frickin' delicious and far from being burnt and fAR better than I've ever tasted on my Vision spinner before!! Phew.....:D

8.5 watts is pretty tasty for me on this tank and juice right now.

AND, getting loads of vapor, so much more than 4.4 volts on a spinner.

It sounds like what you're experiencing here Steph is the leap from an ego style battery to an APV and the introduction of VW to the picture. Ain't it great? Kinda like that song by beyonce upgrade you. I'm so happy you're filling the braincells with new and interesting stuff, that as former smokers, we may not have cared as much about. Now this knowledge is adding years to our lives!

For me the difference between my my Vamo and my twist or vision (not exactly sure who they cloned) is like the difference between Evanescence and Nightwish. Both good but once you hear Nightwish, Evanescence is never quite the same heh.

And now from something completely different. Well not quite, but because I meant to share this earlier. My current vape set up?

This picture was taken before my shipment of GoodLife juice came.

Now the little tower of vape stuff there is mostly cartos and old tank systems that I will be replacing soon. I just need to see what in there is in good enough condition to PIF.

I keep hearing a lot about hookahs lately. Is shisha still that popular, or even more popular than when I first heard about/tried it back in 1999? I've rarely heard it mentioned or talked about since then... But every time I see a person new to vaping, they always compare it to, well, blank, and "hookah".
i posted this on another thread...it actually happened...(i may have made it a little more entertaining but she for the life of her couldn't say hookah, reminded me of my fave jack in the box commercial...chipotle)
"oh so it's a holka thing? hoolka? hoka? hacka?"
"not really...hookah is flavored tobacco that is burning....this is not tobacco and there is no fire, it is vapor..like steam"
"so it's not halcka then?"
"no"
"oh it looks like a hoolka thing"

People make stupid claims like that all the time. "Oh, it's 100% natural!!!....so I'll burn it and inhale it and it's so much safer." Bah. Dumb.
it's still something on fire! LOL

The VAMO has arrived! About to unbox this baby :)
omg omg omg! congrats! can you pm me the link that you purchased from? did you get the protank from the same vendor?
(hahaha i didn't notice the omg omg omg gif until after i "said" it)

Congrats Steph!

As for hookah, it's become a fad again. Most college campuses have multiple hookah bars around them. It's safer than cigarettes, but still not 100 percent safe.
it's still something on fire! .LOL

Whosback & Steph, is it me or does it look like your vamos are making a face at us? I wonder why no one has drawn on eyebrows. I better be quiet, the ocelot might be watching. Or I don't wanna give Steph any ideas. If the woman is willing to bedazzle her protank, she's capable of anything.
I *promise* you i am giving it a mouth when i get one...

steph love your new avatar :)

i have found a new artform.....delivery system blowout.....i accidentally drowned my carto....i blew it out into the sink..i was like "aaw man...i bet some hipster would pay money for this!" LOL

I have honestly considered getting a fair sized fishing tackle box. Some of those have the loops you can put a padlock on if you are worried about kids getting into it. :p

Yes!!! Our thoughts are clearer, we're more focused because of the nicotine, not to mention oh so happy! I had no idea what I was getting into, but I love vaping and all that goes with it!!! Mood right now:

I know, right?!!!
It's like going from rockin' out to Eddie Van Halen and Van Halen to the discovery of the band genius that was Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble man!

RIP Stevie Ray I had tickets to the concert AFTER the one he got killed leaving. Still have those tickets I refused to turn them in for a refund.
