I just wish I could get rid of the tv itself. I think it was one one of the last large, big-backed tvs and it probably weighs more than I do. It dominates a whole corner of the room because I can't move it.

Wow I am impressed!! I think I would have to be locked up in a padded cell without TV. It is a terrible terrible habit, but I am fully addicted. Although I mostly listen to it and not actually watch it My vices.....true crime stories and fake crime stories (NCIS, CSI, Law & Order).

I quit watching TV years ago, I owned a few to watch movies on, mom gave em away in the move I think, don't care. That was until my doctor said I should have one and my nurse brought me two for free. They mostly sit there, old analog clunkers. I may watch the occasional Days of Our Lives and I watched Once Upon a Time when it was in season.

Last doctor visit he told me to turn the TV on to lull me to sleep, it gave me frickin nightmares :-/

about the only tv I watch is Dinner/restaurant impossible and old classic movies on TCM (with a heavy preference for film noir).

The hubby however? Well lets just say one day I watched a snake crawl in the house through a floor grate in the kitchen. Being me I SCREAMED HONEY SNAKE! about 3 minutes later he turned around and said "Did you say something?"

Guys realize one thing about the hubby and I. After 20+ years we have our own thing. He picks at me, I pick at him it is all in good humor. Never interpret any picking I do at him as mean spirited. More like laughing with him than against him.

The stereotype humor stuff ....is usually so-so with me. Destructive comedy also so-so. But that's me. It's a personal pref thing I guess.

And it's subtle. Like....Chevy Chase. Brilliant. Will Farrell...I avoid. Supposedly similar according to many. Not to me.

Love Eddie Murphy. Maybe would like his bro too, but not that skit.

1) I researched turning a computer monitor into an aquarium and it's a lot more complicated than one would imagine.

2) Just as I typed the above (and after reading hottierockstar's triumph over the drain)

it occurred to me that I have lots of screwdrivers; pliers; wenches; a bolt cutter; a power drill; a power saw; and if I get too frustrated, two different kinds of hatchets, a sledge hammer and a pick-axe. This will be fun.

3) Once a female ocelot has a good array of tools she knows how to use, the value of males diminishes significantly. Especially since I seem to attract a supposed rare sub-species that wants to talk about things like it's "feelings" and "where our relationship is going." My body temperature is within the normal range and I have long hair (let's pretend it's fur), but that's as close as I get to warm and fuzzy.
