I guess I'm going to have to die sooner than I thought.

but then wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of quitting smoking?
Actually, no it doesn't. My main point is that I don't listen to all the mis-information being spewed by those that don't have MY best interest at heart. That is my job and at my age I am very healthy. I must be doing something right.

I'm lucky...I work around asbestos fairly frequently. Tearing down buildings creates a lot of dust. Then there was the 80's. I'm thinking diacytl won't be what does me in....
I DIY. I don't recommend anyone use my recipes and I don't sell my juice. But after 2 years vaping basically the same thing, I feel great. I have to have a pulmonary function test every year to keep my certifications current. My doctor is amazed at the difference from 3 years ago to now. He says my lungs are the only things I have that don't belong in a museum.

Your lungs are probably lined with asbestos, which prevents the diacetyl from affecting them...

one can only hope....

Speaking of asbestos......How's Sandras belly?:w00t:

My lungs are lined with PVC, so pretty sure I'm immune...
It is wonderful, but probably a little sweaty- like in the picture I sent with the pink bra, due to the heatwave in the Czech Republic. She wants to do fitness competitions next year...

I eat what I want and will vape what tastes good to me and if it happens to take a few minutes off my life, so be it.

It is interesting how certain people perceive death, as if it is an instantaneous thing.

Quite often, it is not. Reality isn't that it's just a matter of a "few minutes" shaved off one's life.

I think perspective is different for those of use who have watched more than one person, up close and personal, living a horrible, disabled life ---- or dying in a slow, excrutiatingly painful way.

your title and post here is a stick in the pot and in the eye of those who do not feel the same way.

There are already way too many diketone debate topics of late and currently in process.....is it just me, or does it sometimes feel like one logs on here, and gets treated to the same broken record daily, over and over again?

Sometimes it's like the movie GROUNDHOG DAY here ......

Seems that way to me, too... Been around here for about 18 months... and every week, it's like the same topics over and over and over... plus whatever newfangled hardware just came out. Then of course there are the noobs who want to blow cloudz yo using some .001Ω build and Instanthousefire 5A battery straight from china, and the newbies who just wanna vape so they can not smoke, but can't get the stupid hardware to work right, and the other newbies so worried about the so-called "2nd hand vapor" they're ready to go back to killing themselves with cigarettes.

The mass media have made most of this mess, with lots of help from the goons at "public health". They need to all -- ALL! -- be held to account for it. Fines. Jail time. FCC licenses revoked permanently since they can't tell the truth from a bald-faced lie.

Since you quoted a part of my post I will just say that I watched both of my parents as they took their last breath. Dad of lung cancer at the ripe age of 50 years old. My mom with rheumatoid arthritis that she suffered from for the last 15 or so years of her life. She was 80 years old when she went home (her words).

I am just saying that I will not live in fear of might be's. We all have to breathe our last breath one day. I choose to live mine without worrying about what might be bad for me.

I'm talking about e-liquid. The first DIY I made was something I came up with myself, using the few flavours I had on hand - watermelon, peach, pina colada, vanilla custard. It had a smooth, rounded, creamy taste that was/(is?) so refreshing it had me going back to it time and again. It became my ADV. Then I read about diacetyl. I changed my brand of vanilla custard and since then, every mix has been a disappointed. Gone is the lush creaminess.... and I started getting an aftertaste that I simply did not like. I was starting to get a little depressed, questioning whether I would actually be able to stick to vaping if even my most favourite juice was not giving me any satisfaction. Today I found an old bottle of my ADV which I had mixed in early June - ah yes! that is the juice as I remember it!

I've taken the decision - I'm going back to the diacetyl laced flavours. If I'm going to die anyway, at least I will die happy.
I just worry that the diketone infested flavorings will go away. Need to get some 4 oz bottles.

I'm 61 as well, almost 62. I've done a lot of potentially dangerous things in my life... I'm still here to talk about them. :)

There are as many scares as there are myths about miracle foods. @mattiem has already mentioned eggs. Then there was the story about shrimp being laden with cholesterol which turned out to me a mistake by a Japanese researcher. Then there was the myth about dark chocolate which was supposed to be a miracle food..... it turned out recently that was a joke invented by a journalist to see how gullible people could be.

Of course I don't want this to be taken as a negation of potential harm in diacetyl... I'm just saying that for ME the DX versions are not working.
I hear that Molinberry Glamour Chocolate flavoring is very good. Got to get some.

It is pretty good yes. And, like all Molinberry flavours, it is certified Diacetyl free. It is not certified AP free though - I doubt any flavouriing is.

Really I don't know why we even bother with flavouring anything - I mean why wear velvet when sackcloth would do. Indeed why bother with vaping when it's so easy to smoke. And don't even think of coming here to speak of your personal experience, whatever that may be, because it might be a repetition of what someone else said a week ago. And of course don't bother to be open and straightforward in your response when being ambiguous and sounding mean has such better effect. And yes, the best approach to anyone who comes here with a personal experience is to tell them to go back to smoking.

Particle size of smoke and vapor is about the same.
Ehhh, I wasn't talking about Smoke at all, there. Steam versus e-cigarette vapor, which is technically aerosol from what I've read.

Edit: http://ors.uchc.edu/bio/resources/pdf/3.2.3.D_AbtAerosls.pdf

From how I read this, aerosol and vapor/steam are like cobbles compared to gravel, or gravel to COPYRIGHTDMCA.

This also reads to me that aerosols are more likely to be absorbed by ingestion through mucous membranes rather than absorbed directly into blood within the little air sacs in the lungs as vapor is.
