I'm still new to vaping (just over a week), so its natural that I still have cravings and urges and the thought races into my mind "Damn, I want a smoke!". Thing is a few days ago I bought a pack (after vaping only for 6-7 days). I had a smoke. It tasted like burning and ash. I tried chewing some really strong mint gum (you know the kind that clears your sinuses?) and even then I still tasted the ash on top of it... and I just couldn't finish it.
So even though I'm still getting all sorts of cravings and urges for the cigarette I know how terrible it tasted for me so even if I want one, its not going to be what I think it was. My memories of it were so good and now its so horrible.. that taste is not going to hit the spot. Besides that, it was even hard for me to inhale it without throat irritation and a small cough! It had only been a week. I was shocked.
My newest thing is my sense of smell is back with a vegence. I was in my living room working on some projects and I just noticed this terribad smell and it started giving me a headache. It was my trashcan that USED to house my ashtray trash... in a completely different room. I've washed it with soap, baking soda, vinegar, febreze... I think I might just have to throw it away

So while I am craving a smoke I know that smell is what I'd be tasting and not how it used to "taste" and that holds no appeal to me now.
