I know the stereotype is that women love to shop (and some do as well as some men) but I am just not one of them. I occasionally enjoy shopping in a book store or a Best buy but never ever like grocery or clothes shopping. I'm not alone in this am I?

I'm only grumbling because I have to go grocery shopping today. I think I'd rather chew off my right foot. :p

With ya all the way on this!!!!!!!!!!! I especially hate shopping for clothes! I am larger than most with a long body and have a heck of a time finding blouses that look good! And I absolutely hate the low wasted jeans and the fact that they think because you are larger, your thighs are the size of a silo!

I cringe at the mere thought of going shopping...hate it with a passion, always have.
When I do go shopping and find something I like I buy it in every color so I do not have to go back for more later!

Oh lordy!!! I do the same thing!!! Especially with shirts! I hate grocery shopping too! Especially the waiting in line thing!!:p

I love shopping! Even grocery shopping..I just hate putting it away!
I could spend hours in a book store, Sears, Wal-mart, craft store or Best Buy. I don't spend much, but I love looking!
But then the rest of you probably have lives, Mike and I stay home all the time..it's my get-a-way!
I even like to window shop on line..especially in E-cig stores!

I buy clothes about twice a year, but on sale with an added 50% off! I can't rember the last time I paid the orig. price. Penny's and Sears are great for that! I got a $44.00 blouse for $7.50 yesterday! I just love it. The same for shoes. I have several broken toes and I have a time finding shoes that don't hurt..but when I do...they better be on clearence!

Well...we don't have a Penney's anymore. Sears is at the mall and I hate hate hate going to the mall anymore! Thank goodness my job doesn't require that I wear really nice clothes!!! Once in a while I will wear a dress but I have to get those at Woman Within. Even at that I can't wear the ones I have...put on too much damn weight!!!

You are not alone in hating to shop! My husband is constantly complaining because we are always running out of something and I won't go shopping. I try to only go once a month for groceries because I dislike it so much. I'll take my son clothes shopping once a year (or more often if it absolutely won't fit). And I buy Christmas presents online months in advance just to avoid the malls and toy store... The only place I don't mind going is the feed store for the horses, dog and cat. But that's because I go in with a list - it takes about 2 minutes and they load it for me. I swear, if I was better at growing vegetables and could get past the butchering animals part - I'd never look at another grocery store :)

I did and and lived to tell the tale. Actually was pretty painless. It's the getting myself to go that's the hardest part. I'm with MacArthurBug on planning my shopping around the store layout so I have to spend as little time as possible in there.
MaryKay I'd gladly put your items away if you shopped for me lol

I dunno I have this weird thing where if it takes more than a half hour in a store I start to go glassy eyed and brain fogged. I'm sure it's psychological but I just feel wiped by it. Maybe it's because when I was a kid we were very poor and I knew I couldn't get anything when shopping so I'd zone out rather than drool over something I wanted?
