I have an Atty Mod idea but I need someone with a lot more knowledge than me

Taking apart my Genuine 510 Cartomizer it appear to me that the wick is directly tied to the atomizer. Not sure becase there is a lot of glue. Anyway I take them apart clean them and put them back together if there is any wick left. Picture is of one I have used, taken apart and washed:

Could you possibly take real high heat rated cord (McMaster Carr carries it) and just wrap some down on top of the bridge and then drip on it?

I don't have a clue if it would work or really how to go about it.

Any ideas - bad idea?

I would be interested if anyone has tried it or would be willing to try it and let me know how it turns out.

I'm not sure about the 510 ( I use 901's) but I rebuild mine using the McMaster Carr 'silica' rope and wind my own coils around it. Works great and it has great juice capacity.

The silica rope is a fine idea, there has been lots of success in these threads with using it. But you may want to upgrade your cartomizers to E2 r4, that don't have the glue you've got, and have a ceramic cup instead of plastic. Less toxins close to the coil, etc.

I ddin't explain myself well - I want to just add some to an atomizer not carto. Just thinking this might allow more drops per time when dripping.

If you wrap it around the bridge, making sure to leave room for airflow, essentially you are turning your atomizer into a carto. And yes, you should be able to add more drops. No, it will not harm your atty, just be careful and watch the heat!

Thanks - I might try it. I tend to not like any of the cartos out there because they are so "airy" but atty's don't seem that way.
