I have been sick this past week with an intestinal bug of somekind....even ran 3 degress of fever, one night. I do have someone to watch the board when I'm not on. Don't know if you know this, but people with fibromyalgia feel double the aches and pains of fever. I wasn't even able to get online, except last night when I made one post. I think I am on the road to recovery as I've not run fever within the past 18 hours. Yeah!

Husband, in the middle of all of this slashed his finger with a knife and didn't want to go to get stitches. I wasn't able to take him to ER, so we bandaged it as best as possible. It was bleeding quite a bit and even though it did stop at the time, he kept bumping it and it would start up again. That went on for 2 days, but it's much better now. At least Carson provided much entertainment for us to get some good laughs. What a remarkable little guy!

Well at least you know what happened this past week! It was stressful, to say the least! I hope to be back online on a regular basis within the next couple of days! This morning, I grabbed the wrong bottle and put e-juice in my eye instead of my glaucoma drops. Needless to say, it burned......alot! I flushed it out with my gel drops. Boy, that was fun! So, needless to say, this has/has not been a very good week. Thanks for being so understanding! Am going to have to take a nap as this has been an exhausting week!
:)

I noticed I hadn't seen you around in a while and was starting to get worried. So sorry you have been feeling bad. I happen to know first hand what you are talking about with fibromyalgia. So I really feel for you. You somehow get through it though, don't cha? Gentle hug to you and I hope you are feeling better soon. Takes a bit longer to recover I know. Get you some rest.

Ewww, so sorry Linda! I understand about the fibromyalgia....I have peripheral neuropathy that affects mostly my hands and feet now and it behaves very similarly to fibromyalgia, in fact I take Lyrica for it, which is actually a fibromyalgia drug. A lot of things make my pain worse. Rain or even just a shift in the barometric pressure and affect me, it also triggers my migraines. I actually have a pill I can take for it, but it is hard sometimes during the summer, in the south, to know if it is actually going to rain (thunderstorm) or not. Most summer days the weather calls for thunderstorms somewhere. I could take that medication everyday according to my neurologist, but it stimulates my appetite, and I don't want to walk around with the munchies all the time.

Anytime I have something else painful going on with me like a stomach ache, or my bursitis acting up can also trigger my neuropathic pain. Cold is one of my biggest triggers. I have poor circulation in my feet which causes them to be cold almost all the time anyway, but if my feet get cold my pain is set off big time. One good thing about not smoking anymore is I have found that my circulation in my feet is a bit better and I can tell that my feet are not quite as cold as they have been. Tonight unfortunately it is thundering and I am getting a migraine, so I am missing worship tonight. :-(

I do not experience pain in my hands as much, problem with my hands is that because I have decreased sensation in my fingers I tend to drop things or knock over things I am trying to grab because I don't feel what I can holding or trying to hold. The carpal tunnel also makes my hands shake when I am trying to hold small things especially. This combination of symptoms makes me very clumsy. I can't tell you how many glasses I have knocked over (and broken) and last night while eating dinner with my husband at a local mexican restaurant I literally dropped a chip loaded with salsa right before it made it to my mouth. My husband laughed so hard because he said it looked like I tried it and then just spit it out like I didn't like it. I take it in stride and laugh often at myself. What are you going to do when you are a walking disaster? I was already clumsy.....now with my hands and feet, I am just ridiculous!

I am praying for you and your husband to feel better and to have a better week Linda!

Thank you, ladies for all of your understanding. I am so very sorry you both know what I am talking about. I don't wish this on anyone, except satan. Now I'm leaving him all of my ailments in my Will. HA! How long have you guys had all of this? I've had most everything for 21 years. You'd think I'd get used to it by now. But the longer you have this, the less tolerance I have. Fibro has pretty much crippled my body. I'm in the 25% that get worse. Can't take Lyrica, so I have to take pain pills, muscle relaxers, and anxiety medication. PRAISE GOD FOR MEDICATION!!! Now Neurontin does help as I don't have the 'droops' like I used to. I call the droops as when you get out of bed and gravity takes over and you feel like your whole body is trying to slide off of your bones. If you haven't tried it, you might want to talk to your doctors about it. I take 3 in the a.m. and 3 in the p.m. The worse pains are when you can hardly breathe, because of the pain, and the pain when you feel like your bones are rotting because of the inner deep pain. Now those are lulu's! But those aren't everyday, Praise God! But, I Praise God anyway! He didn't bring me this far to leave me hanging in the lurch. "He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it." :)

I tried Neurontin in the hospital for my neuropathy and it made me so drousy I could not do my physical therapy. I do take Lyrica and Cymbalta. Praise Jesus for Cymbalta! It helps with my pain and my depression as well. I also take Klonopin for the muscle ticks I have due to nerve damage in my spinal cord and it helps with my anxiety as well. I also take pain medication once or twice a day depending on whether I am having a good day or a bad day. Just like you, praise God anyway. This health journey has brought me so many struggles, but it has also been a blessing in so many ways. I have been forced to evaluate my life in a way I never would have, I have learned that through Christ I really CAN do anything, including walking again when at one time I could not even move one toe

My favorite verse since I got sick:

Isaiah 40:31
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

One day in heaven I will be able to run again. I will be able to walk and stand in a perfect transformed body and feel no more pain.

I didn't really want to talk to my husband! HA! The best I could do was watch tv. I'm going to make a post about a documentary I was watching. It was amazing!

Thanks for the offer, but I am one of those people who likes to be left alone. But I appreciate your concerns, Cuz. Wub u back.

You are just so easy to love, Cuz!!!! You have such a bright heart that I need to wear sunglasses!:2cool:

For any new people that don't know, Cuz is a direct descendent of Mary Queen of Scots whose son became King of England...King James...as in King James Version of the Bible. My lineage has Mary Queen of Scots as a cousin, etc. So, that's why we call each other Cuz, because we are! The world gets smaller when something like that happens! I wub my Cuz!
