I just told Jules last night that I hadn't killed an atty yet. Well ... seems I have a dead one (or maybe two). Neither are producing the vapor, one more noticeable than the other .. sniff sniff Guess I need to order some more, but of course I just missed the MFS 45% coupon, whimper

I have learned my lesson. I bragged on an atty that was still going after a couple of months, then it died.

I'm not saying a thing. I don't have back ups beyond my 3 I own and one is dedicated to AC. I will have back ups soon, once Jules ships our group order.

I can't stress enough the importance of having backups. If you dedicate to buying just one atty and battery a week, you will have a good stash before you know it. That is exactly how I built mine up and I had/have very little money to play with. You have to plan ahead or you are going to end up buying a pack of cigs which cost more than an atty anyway.

Bubba, sometimes cleaning them will bring them back to life. I soak them in Crest Pro health for an hour or so then rinse them and blow out the excess water. By morning they're ready to go and most of the time they magically work again.

The same thing happened to me. My 1st atty lasted 4 months and the day after a post in this forum stating how long it lasted, "POOF", dead atty..
If this was posted last night I would've added 2 atty's in with the adapter I sent ya. If it's any consolation, I DID toss 2 blank 808 premuim cartos in the envelope.

Sorry... It's a mouthwash. Only buy the blue one. It's been tested by the best on ECF and works great for me. I just finished cleaning my new LR attys from Georgia's co-op because I couldn't stand the taste of the primer. I only left them in 10 minutes though.

Luckily for me I would actually just roll some cigs as I did RYO and still have tobacco. It's a little dry, but I can work with that.

In no way did I take that as a complaint. I always take the chance to tell people to get backups. I know if I Hadn't listened to my friend on that point I would have been in so much trouble.

Another Tip on Attys :

Crash taught me this one...so thanks goes to her.

Sometimes attys seem to lose their gusto....and those little holes at the bottom of the atty near the threads need to be cleaned out. gunk gets in there and clogs them up...yep, our juice gunk

So..if you take a needle or pin...just poke that into those holes and gently move it around...it clears the gunk right out..and brings some back to life.

Worth a try...and it has worked on a few of my previously almost dead attys.
