I have decided after reading articles and so called proof about vaping, that I just don't care. I have seen spin on the subject and let's be fair and honest, from both sides. I don't see vaping as safe nor do I view it as a cessation device. I for myself see it as another method to get nicotine, but with more options.

I can change flavors, not smell like smoke and get as much or as little nicotine as I want without or less waste at least. I know that I'm am taking in less chemicals and having less side effects. I feel better and have a better outlook on life because of it.

In the long term who knows what vaping may cause, I know what continued smoking will do and I would still smoke now if not for vaping. This to me points that in the very least I am no worse for wear. I haven't saved any money as I am a hobbyist but in a way I have. I no longer throw out half smoked cigarettes or smoke one all the way down, even when I really don't want to just because I don't want to waste money.

I'm just so tired of the pundits view and the arguments of pro and con. I have just settled into that cozy little gray area of no worse no better, now leave me alone. I have begun to view the vaping argument as that of global warming, I mean climate change. Since the argument has to change names to keep people correct.

Pro vape is like pro life, people will stand on each side of the debate with a minimal few that will ever waver. The less informed or mass media informed will always believe what they see and hear on TV and the radio. I have learned you cannot teach the uninterested, people vote and choose a position based on the person telling them what to think. If they like the speaker they like the view if they hate the speaker they hate the view and no proof can change them, either way.
You say you don't see vaping as a cessation device then turn around and say you would still smoke if not for vaping. Sounds like a smoking cessation device to me ;)
People here in the forum generally don't claim that vaping is a nicotine cessation method, however gradually decreasing your nicotine vaping appears to be successful for some here.
Looking at testing results of ejuice compared to cigarettes, it's clear that on average ejuice has far less harmful components than cigarettes, that's enough evidence that vaping is less harmful than smoking for most of us, however anyone should feel free to sh$tz your pants and shout "we don't knowwwwww" or "it's no worse no better" if you wish. :)

I am pro choice... the woman's choice to be pro life or pro choice.

I am a man. It's none of my business what they choose to do with their bodies.

More should adopt this way of thinking. It's none of your business what we as vapers choose to do with our vessels.

We have a section of the forum for that kind of discussion - this isn't it.

Retraction...

In this section, I feel it's my duty to make any and all decisions for everyone else at all times.

Anywhere else, you decide for yourself.

Sorry.

Wasn't trying to make it political. Just poor choice of subject matter to make a parallel.

Cessation implies to quit, I don't have any intention of quitting nicotine, therefore I don't view it as a cessation device, rather another option of delivery like, smoking, dipping, chewing, and snus.

That's it exactly, being an adult making a decision and living with it. We all know the risks of anything we do and should just acknowledge and live with it. The only time I have an issue, is with liars, people using bad ingredients or making things with faulty hardware. Basically greedy persons taking advantage of people, be it vape, food, cars, etc.

I agree. To be perfectly honest, I have a lot more coughing and asthma problems now than when I was a smoker; I think it's because cigarettes have all that "other" crap that makes them "smooth," it makes them fool your body into thinking that something horribly toxic and irritating -- smoke -- is ok to inhale. Vaping means I'm inhaling something that doesn't have all that garbage in it, so when I do it too much, my lungs let me know they are not amused. For an asthmatic, that's probably a good thing, it makes me mind my P's and Q's better than smoking did, with all its deceptive "smoothers." It makes me be responsible for being able to continue to breathe well. I'm thinking that after the first of the year, I'm going to experiment with seeing just how long I can go between vapes; maybe not too long at first, I'm so used to doing it constantly, but if I work at it, maybe I can get it to a few hours instead of a few minutes. It can only help my lungs.
