It's not just the vaping or the great Volt equipment or even the fine selection of juices from SI that have made this Quit stick, and without many cravings I might add. It's this community of great folks that has served as my support group that has made the biggest difference! I have enjoyed my time spent here learning about whats what and the best way to get the most out of my equipment but it just occurred to me that along with the education in vaping the thing that has helped the most is sharing stories, pictures and laughs with you guy's, so thanks to everyone and sorry for getting sappy on you but I felt it just had to be said, You Guy's Are The Best!:toast:

Sitting down, facing forward.
I never thought about in quite that way, but you're absolutely right! The support of a group with the same problems and interests, some almost as "bent" as I am, the source of videos from MrOutlaw, Imagine lurking around and just the general banter back and forth have made it easier to stay off of tobacco. Having good customer support from SI also helps a lot when things go wrong, but they don't go wrong often with the Volt, at least not for me or most of us anyway. There were a few days in month one, for me, when I really wanted a Marlboro, but I'd just pick up my Volt and look around at the threads until the urge went away. The laughs just make it all the better.

Without this forum I would never have discovered the e cig phenomenon. The help you get from others is phenomenal since an e cig is more complicated than a stinkie...but the ecig is so much better! Worth the effort to learn new things.

The people are so nice and when you want to talk about smoking and quitting and such, they are there to support you.

Good thread.

I couldn't agree more with all of the above. The thing is: Even when you're long past the point of needing PV support, you find you're still here for the friendships that you've made. 'Tis a beautiful thing.

Group Hug!!

There needs to be a group hug smiley.

This forum was priceless when I first got started with my Volt starters kit. I could come here with questions or observations, or help others with what I learned. It's why I still lurk and contribute here, even though my personal needs have changed from the 808 to the 510 format.

I still like to provide advice in the beginners' forum. I still recommend Smokeless Image and also this forum to new vapors truly interested in changing their lives forever.

I'm thankful to all the veterans that continue to come back and help the new members forum along. When I first got here almost a year ago. I almost ran for the hills. I wasn't ready for a laundry list of all the equipment out there, and didn't want to do weeks of research to figure out whether I needed standard resistance, low resistance, etc. etc. I just wanted something I could pick up and vape as easily as I picked up a cigarette. That's where I was at the time.

I'm grateful to the veterans that recognize when someone just wants to pick up a simple unit that works... for the ones that didn't laugh at me when I said I didn't want to know what ohms, watts, and voltage settings had to do with vaping.

Today, I sit in my recliner chain vaping on a Zenesis mini, on a wick and coil I wrapped myself. I love it.... the flavor is fantastic without any carto filler or cotton or silica wick touching my juice. It's also not someplace I would have started. It's about the diameter of a 15ML juice bottle. It weighs about what my iPhone does. It has a fused quartz tank that I wouldn't want to drop onto pavement. Unless I'm going somewhere that I'm going to be able to sit in one place and chain vape..... my Volts are still my go-to device outside the house. (Or for those times when I don't want to fill and vape a 3ML tank at a time of a given juice.) They are still what I recommend to anyone starting out, because I would not have jumped in and bought a $200+ dollar device that required me to wrap ss mesh and kanthal wire on day one as much as I love it now.

My Volts were great a year ago, and they just continue to get better. I'm excited to stay in the loop and see where we are a year from now with advancements in cartos, clearos, and whatever comes down the line. I know that SI puts in the time and research to provide the best options amongst the "newer developments".... and I know this forum will always be full of folks that are looking out for each other and genuinely want to help others succeed as well.

Give yourself a hug from me. 3 years and still here to help others along. You rock!

Well - I wish I were that unselfish. Actually, I'm here more because I couldn't stand to leave behind the friends that I've made. But, I help when I can. Thank you. :)
