Yeah coils cost money, but when they have a problem I just throw them away. I then just put another in. Because how do you clean the upgraded aerotank one, and the new nautilus coils? Ive seen a site for the old wick ones on redoing them, but if I wanted to go through all that I would go into dripping. which is my next step anyways, but until them a new one seems better.

I used to swap out my coils every 10 days to 2 weeks. I would soak them overnight in vodka, then rinse them in a little more. Allow to dry overnight and then put them in the rotation. Now I have an IClear 30S and my wife has the IClear XI The coils will last for 4 to 5 weeks before they start to get a burned taste, on rare occasion one with burn out before then, but overall as long as they last I don't even try cleaning them.

i didnt know I had to be grammar correct on here. i just post what i think about at that moment, anyways that's what i was wanting to know the process of cleaning them

Not the point. If you make a post that is exceptionally hard to read because it's a single run-on sentence it's going to just get skipped right over.

No punctuation marks and using run-on sentences makes reading posts difficult and will likely cause them to be ignored.

Yes, grammar is important. If you want to be understood you need to pay attention to things like "periods", "capitalization" and "paragraphs (when appropriate). If you don't take the time to do this, no one will be willing to take their time to try and decipher your writing so they can help you.

All that said, I have some links for you on the Kanger coils and Aspire bottom vertical coils (BVC's). In general, if you periodically clean and dry burn them you will prolong their life. I have done this with the Kanger single and dual coils BUT I have not tried this on the new Aspire BVC's. The Aspire video is only a couple of weeks old so there are not many comments on this video yet.

2. Dry Burning Aspire Nautilus BVC Coils

I am using the Aspire BVCs because I WANT to throw them out after a week or so.

It was wasting my life away rebuilding and then re-wicking Kanger coils that has lead me to this "place" in my vaping career.

I could use cartos in a tank (yes, and I sometimes do) and I could swap over the cotton in my Kayfun, but to be honest, I am bored of it all.

I just want to vape. So, for me, cartos or BVC. Use and then dispose. :)

AHHHA! So that's where all the "period" have been going!!! You're a "PACMAN" gobbling them all up!

Well, I'll pardon you this time because of your "too many to count" contributions to the DIY Innawera thread (all 659 pages). Your Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Sparkling Wine w/Tino Wild Strawberry are both YUM YUM YUMMY!:D

I don't know about that. My rebuilt protank heads taste as good as my kayfun, and it's pretty easy to re-coil and wick them once you've done it a few times. And I don't have to pay $2-$3 a piece for BVC replacements. Seems better to me.

what was the question??? .... you are most likely in the 0.3 ohm range +/- 0.05 ohms. Unless you have a short, then it would be lower, much lower. or something like that.
 as I try to get my newly arrived Pontus apart/washed and up to the vape shop to get a couple of coils put into it for me! I have a date with some Peppermint Bark tonight!!

Well good luck with that Susan, kind of disappointed with the performance of the Pontus. the tolerances are to loose on the drip cap and the damn injection hole is to close to the center stem so juice will drool over the stem hole and cause gurgling. It is easier to fill than the Big Dripper, but the Big D. out vapes the Pontus by quite a margin. hmm need to go back to the drawing board on the Pontus. Oh well, was only a $30 gamble. :D
