Who misses the simplicity of cigarettes, not that I'd ever go back but all you needed was a pack n a lighter.

I have amassed so many juices and tanks and mods that I can't even find a way to organize it all. And the charging n the filling of the tanks...oh boy.

Am I alone?

I totally agree and was thinking the same thing last night.
I think that a lot of folks get into the "hobby" of vaping to quit cigs.
Smoking was easy compared to juice testing, mods, tanks, coils and vape mail. Some people go a lot further with coil building and DIY juice. Chasing flavor and clouds can be very time consuming and expensive. It totally distracted me from cigs long enough to finally quit.

It's definitely distracting! Lol

I always think about this way: I can change a coil, prime it, refill on e-liquid faster than I can get in my car drive to a gas station and buy a pack of smokes. So though it isn't as "easy" as a lighter and a pack it actually takes less time to keep going. Just my 3 cents.

You are sooooo not alone on that! If anything gets me completely off vaping it will be that. I feel like I have to pack a darn suitcase sometimes

I was discussing this very thing earlier with someone. The first person/company to come out with a vaporizer that doesn't need coils and wicks will have something indeed. Just fill the chamber with e-liquid and you're off to the races.

I've seen some prototypes out there, but there's nothing on the market yet that realistically accomplishes this.

Make an e-cig that takes the hassle out of vaping, and you have a winner. Make it affordable for the masses and you have a grand slam home run.

I used to spend $3,000 a year (after taxes) on a carton a week. I work. It takes time to earn that money. A year supply of DIY is $30 cost of ingredients. I used to spend about an hour a day standing outside smoking. There has been a learning curve, time invested. I use rda's with temp control all the time. Dripping takes 10 seconds 10-15 times a day. 5 minutes to rewick every 3-4 days, 15 minutes to rebuild every 7-15 days. 30 minutes to mix once a month.

I use just 1% flavor to minimize consequences of leaking. I found an extra tall extra tight silicone slip ring on FT that seals the air supply for pocket carry. I only buy a new atomizer or mod if I'm fairly sure it will be my new favorite, which is what I always carry.

The ecig topic takes up a lot of my time reading and researching because I'm interested in the technology and I'd like to help end the Tobacco Age. That isn't vaping time. Vaping is a huge time saver if it's a goal to have it be that way.

Think magnetic induction. No wick. No coil.

I've seen a site that was working on a prototype, but this was over a year ago and I haven't heard of any progress since then.

Yeah, the money I am saving vs smoking.. and the fact I can vape IN the house. Is the only things that keeps me vaping instead of going back.
The flavors and lack of stink are pluses also. I have always liked the flavor and smell of tobacco. Just not the stink of burning it. Good thing about NETs is I get tobacco pleasures without any tobacco.

I went thru this phase trying different mods, tanks and flavors but I found that I always kept coming back to the same setup and flavors. mixing juice takes very little time and I actually enjoy wicking and making coils but my wicks last 2 weeks and my coils last 2 month so I don't spend a lot of time doing that.vaping can be as simple or as complicated as you chose to make it. and with the large assortment of factory coils available is it really that much of an inconvenience to screw out one coil and screw in another once every week or two.perhaps complaining about trivial matters is an entertaining hobby for some people. I hope I never get that old and grumpy

Then:
Driving to the store. Almost daily.
Over $5 a day, not counting gas and time.... With taxes increasing the expense every year.
The stink.
The cough.
The ashy mess.
Ashtrays at home.
The lost value of my automobile because I was a smoker.

Now:
Mechanicals and RBA-all the gear I'll ever need.
DIY juice-better than any store bought.
Less than $10 a month.

I don't miss a thing about smoking.

Let me think a minute.......
:vapor:
Used to be:
Don't smoke in the house, so..... Get up in the morning and immediately get dressed and bundle up in the winter to step outside for that first smoke of the day. Back in and un-bundle (abbreviate for future reference "BIAUB")for some coffee and read the paper, then bundle up again for another. "BIAUB: for breakfast, then repeat for the required after eating smoke. Repeat about 20 times a day. Winter coat zippers lasted no more then 2 years. :vapor: No lounging in the morning or evening still in PJ's, never know when I'll "need" another. But I do miss stepping out on the porch on that warm summer evening and watching the world go by......but I can do that with my vape. It really sucked before DVR's, missing parts of a football game or long movie cause I just had to have a smoke.
:vapor:
Then there are the occasional 2 hour journeys to the city, not smoking in the car. At least one stop each way, not too bad if including a bathroom break. But I had to take advantage of every opportunity to grab a smoke before entering and after exiting every store or restaurant. :vapor: Not to mention enduring all those glares at my pathetic appearance standing out there shivering in the cold just to have a smoke. But once back home, I could get back into the "BIAUB" routine.

Smoking supplies? I live in a very small town and usually stayed well stocked for smokes. Unfortunately, there would come a time I got kind of low, stopped into the store for a carton or even just a pack, only to find out they were out of Marbs and wouldn't be getting any in for a few days. :vapor: Had to have a throw away lighter as back-up for the Zippo in case lighter fluid or flints ran out. Always enjoyable to fill the Zippo, put it in the pants pocket, the shortly after feel that burn from seeping fluid on your thigh.

I'm sure there is more, but it's been a while since I quit and I've bored you all enough! :vapor:

So, now that I've thought about it for a bit, vaping is a piece of cake and I think I'll stick with it! And damn it was nice sitting here typing all this out and being able to take a vape now and then.

China= Batteries only.

STILL, NOT SMOKING.

Have fun
I

I agree. My REO setup is so simple. I use readyXwick and unflavored and the only thing I do daily to my setup is fill the bottle. Sometimes I get aggravated at that lol
