Hi all, I know its early days as the heading says ,but only being about 30hrs into the ecig all i can say its a miracle!!!
Im thinking of going to the Doctors who have issued my patches in the past to ask what they think of my new friend the EVO , but the sceptical side says to me is dont! as the Doc will faux pas it and try to talk me out of my new found hobby.

Be good to hear everyones thoughts on this as I really do think this is the solution to giving up.

"OH NO, WHAT ABOUT THE TAXES" IS THAT WHAT THE GOV WILL SAY?

...... the taxes Mr PM / Mr President all my kids want is their "Daddy" to live as long as its possible.
The patches dont work but ECigs do !!

Doctors in my opinion are nothing more than over glorified mechanics. They're good ones ready to embrace a new technology and there are hidebound ones that don't believe anything they haven't read in a medical journal. I don't give them a lot of credence. Despite their titles and degrees they're just people like anyone else subject to being open minded or prejudiced towards anything not officially adopted by their professional community.

Um, that's a little harsh. It takes a lot of years of hard work to become a doctor (even a chiropractor, contrary to most MD's beliefs) but you are right, doctors are people just like anyone else and are very subject to all the failings of human nature.

I was not knocking doctors or how many years it takes to become a doctor. What I was referring to is what I feel is the general perception of doctors by the rest of us. They're not gods and are as fallible as the rest of us.

I've shown my PV to two docs so far, one already knew what it was, and had no comment as to merit, or demereit. He did hug me for quitting smoking though! The other doc took down all the info on the one I showed her so she could research and get one for her smoking daughter. My 75 yo father showed his ecig to his doc, who is now handing out cards to patients to have them buy. Personally, I've only seen positive reactions from docs.

I have talked to 3 doctors now (all independent of one another) and I have gotten reactions from "Excellent choice" to "can you get me some info to give to my other patients"

I too was leery of even asking them about e-cigs.....pleasant surprise at the support I got instead.

VAPE ON!!!

Oh and I had a minor procedure recently.......vaped in the recovery room to everyone's amusement and no one had the least problem with it...docs included
