Plastic is cheap, light and great for shipping and I have read the thread I think you are referring to. All that said, I dont mind plastic but keep my nic and premixed base in glass and will probably be investing in glass bottles for all my DIY juices and flavors. I dont know that plastic is harmful but, like so much in vaping, we just dont know for sure.

Okay, so now you'll all know how ancient I am. When my daughter was toddler I was having milk delivered simply because it came in glass bottles. One morning I went to the door to bring it in and it was in a carton! Cancelled delivery that day. For me it wasn't a safety issue, it just tasted better coming out of glass. Glass is great but it's more expensive. Just my 2:2c:

I just think that if you notice something wrong with your plastic bottle, you should just throw it away and store that particular e-liquid in a glass bottle (if you still want to vape something that melts plastic). I PROMISE that plastic won't mind being thrown away. Just let the vendor know the problem, and if they won't switch to another medium, don't buy from them again.

I personally wouldn't vape a plastic melting substance, and I don't really like cinnamon or extreme citrus flavors anyhow, sooooooooo...

...just sane...

BPA? I like to buy large amounts of dekang juice when its on 50% sale. Then I buy a bunch of heavy VG quality juice and mix them together. I found Boston amber glass bottles on Feebay that come with droppers and they are like $.60 each. All juice gets stored in glass. I quit smoking to get away from nasty chemicals, so why would I want to consume them in e juice?

In all seriousness... glass is heavy to ship, and a pain in the ___ to clean up if it breaks. With that said, it's absolutely the best way to contain really powerful stuff, like 100mg strength nicotine.... but for the average little bottle of e-Juice, it's probably not all that necessary to pay the extra shipping and all the extra other hoopla that goes with glass.

What I would love to see, is if they could make some of the new plastics more flexible, and to see what their leaching rates are, if any. (i.e. what if Nalgene could come up with an LDPE equivalent.... THAT would be some fatastic nerdy factoid reading)

I've had small glass bottles with droppers slip out of my hand and hit the floor...they are darn near impossible to break unless crushing force is used. Usually not from dropping to the floor. But they WILL break sometimes...it's the nature of glass. Guess that's the trade-off.
