The types of reputable vendors most of us order from are not looking to draw attention to themselves by violating a state's laws. Other states already have online bans in place, and vendors don't ship there. I can't see why a reputable vendor would risk the liability to ship where their product is not allowed.

FT might not care, but do you want to vape DeKang only? And if you do locate some odd small vendor willing to ship to NY, do you really feel you can trust the product being sold?

If I want commercial juice I'll order it to be delivered to my daughter's CT address and get them from her after a weekend she spends back at mom's. Otherwise it'll be DIY only for me, which is sort of a pain given I'm now in an assisted living place. While it is independent and I have privacy, I still have housekeeping coming in regularly along with the occasional State inspections of the facility as it's still considered a health care operation. The don't ask don't tell rule applies, and no one cares that I vape so long as I don't set off the smoke alarm, but I can't exactly set up a permanent mix station and leave everything out. So I'll be mixing in larger batches and then storing all my stuff away. I have limited freezer space so some will be with me, some in my daughter's freezer in Brooklyn, and some in her mom's freezer in CT. Not so terrible as my now 30 years supply of nic base is in multiple locations and I know the flood zones for all of them, and I have backup generators where I am and at her mom's in CT.

If NYC loses power for a few days and her Brooklyn freezer is a failure, truth is, I'm in worse trouble with an extended blackout in NY than just losing some nic base.

Been gone to long, didn't know you was in a home. Thought you was roughly my age (52). Sorry to hear that. I can hook you up Upstate but little I can do down there.

I do use flavorings and have plenty but not forever. I waited until the ban was in full effect and placed a order. Should find out today if that worked. If so I'll get farther ahead.

I do "cook" for close friends. I will continue but not taking on any new people.

My daughter actually just walked in. Between work and kids she lives in a news fog. She vapes salts to stay off smoking. She flipped out when I told her and is in a panic. We may have to shoot to Vermont today. About 5 hours RT so it won't be for a single bottle. Vermont also has other item for interest.

I talked with myvaporstore.com earlier this week and they confirmed by email the following:

Unfortunately, due to the pending New York State Flavor Ban, we are unable to ship orders that contain flavored e-liquids and flavored devices to the state of New York, excluding menthol and tobacco flavors. This ban covers both retail and online sales. However, at this time we will still ship out of New York as we are strictly an online retailer. Our legal counsel will keep us updated on any changes with the law and we will have also have a site-wide update for our customers.

A power outage won't cause you to "lose" your nic. My FL stash (by no means all of my nic) has been through two separate ~week long outages, the first induced by Matthew in 2016 and the second by Irma in 2017. These temporary reversions to room temperature seem to have had little effect on it.

If you want organic, diacetyl free, flavorings, the diacetyl free Nature's Flavors coffee&tea line are what I use: Coffee and Tea Flavoring without Diacetyl - Natures Flavors

I vape 30 ml/day, buy a quart of vanilla and 8oz of cream at a time to use making my all day vape. I picked up a smaller bottle of caramel cream on the latest order, a nice alternate to the standard cream if I want a change of pace. (I mix at about 10% total flavoring.)

Not the cheapest flavorings by any means, but they are consistent. They have good ingredients, no bad effects after vaping them for years.

I think the only workaround for all this is to stock up supplies for the long term and DIY. I feel almost certain that all individual states will have an online sales ban in the near future.

But everything can still be had by doing a lot of research and buying this item from here and that item from there and so forth. We will just have to buy from online stores that are not affiliated with vaping in any way but the key will be learning DIY with everything from mixing up the juice to making coils.

Buy wire from a wire source, Flavoring and PG/VG from a baking source, batteries from a battery source etc.

But you will be able to get the below OTC, will it be available only in Tobacco I searched and couldn't find anywhere in the World Tobacco Flavor. It is usually sold in Mint and Berry flavors. Wow but the kids won't like those!

One mg per spray and 64 sprays maximum (like that can be enforced once it's sold OTC, who's gona keep count) or 64 mg a day of nicotine. I guess my 45-50 mg a day is OK by them.Nice to know I vape less nic than they approve for other folks to go ahead and use.

I use myvaporstore and they ship out of NY. Problem is I don't yet know what the ban means either.

It sounds like it might only effect the sales of e-cigarettes in non tobacco or menthol flavors, but what I don't know is how those are defined. If it is at all vague, it could still put some vendors out of business if they can't figure it out either, or have to pay a small fortune to a lawyer to try and make sense of what they can and cannot sell.

My bigger concern as others have said is the potential snowball effect. Guess it's time to try my hand at DIY juice.

Yeah the first few mixes can be that way. But yeah you can get some flavor shots to make it easier. You can also browse the DIY forum linked in my post above for some recipes that sound good and try those. It can be intimidating at first because of all the possibilities, but once you find a flavor you like, it's really easy to replicate.

GSK's oral nicotine spray wins divided FDA panel's backing despite abuse risks

"In remarks prepared for the panel Wednesday, Theresa Michele, the FDA’s division director of nonprescription drug products, said dependence was the most reported serious adverse effect for the spray. In one study, Michele said, 79% of subjects in the active treatment group continued to use the product after the treatment period ended at Week 26, even though only 3.4% had quit smoking, which suggested double use of the spray and tobacco products."

Does it come in Mango?

LOL
