This may be true, but:

1) Nobody is producing a dna-20 mod commericially that you can just order and it comes in a few days, and
2) Not everyone can afford $250+ for a mod, or have the skills to build one on their own.

The eVic, at right around $100 with all the features it has, is a GREAT mod for most people who are more interested in high-performance vaping than looking for "bragging rights", vaping Jewelry, or status symbols...

Just sayin'...

I couldn't agree with you more. I have avoided the Provari because I bought 3 nice pv's for the same price. I have a Lavatube a Vamo and now a Evic (just ordered it $65 BTW). I have options with 3. Now I did spend some money on an AC9 RBA. Man it is nice BUT I have $20 ones kickin it .... as well so...figures right? I hear that the Evic is really good with RBA's.

65? Nice. Best price I could find today was 73. Well outside of Corevape but I am not sure what to make of that site....

I have a Vamo, Twists, and a Provari Mini and honestly I use them all about equally. Got the Evic for my wife, she doesn't like it I will take it and give her the Mini. Looking forward to playin around with all the settings and how things evolve with the firmware.

I have a eVic, but I'll have to wait 6 months from now, and see if it still works or not. I don't have an OHM meter to see how accurate is is. According to Busardo, it's not the greatest in that department.

I do like that its up-gradable from my computer. I also like it that they changed the home screen to show either OHM's or a clock, if one so desires. I don't find the MVR record keeping a valuable asset though.

Edit: They also seem to be fragile. Someone already posted a pic of their broken eVic that rolled off a desk onto a carpet.

I definitely wouldn't use the word fragile to describe the eVic. Mine rolled off my desk today onto concrete and was fine. It hit the ground so hard that the head to my ViVi nova had to be tightened before it would fire again. I know it's not as rugged as some mods, but I also didn't spend the same amount of money as I would have on the provari and I have many more bells and whistles..

I actually got in on that co-op, the reason I went with the evic as my first mod is because it can/will get better. I like the fact that most issues (short of a mechanical failure) can be addressed/updated via a software/firmware update.

I'm sure I'll end up with others but like the adaptability of this one, seems to give it a greater life span.

I like my Evic. It's nice. I try not to drop it. On a different note but similar I just got a 70" flat screen TV and just had to guess how durable it was because I couldn't find any reviews discussing what happened when somebody dropped it.

The one thing I don't like about my Evic is it doesn't work well with Kanger MT3s from my experience. I use alot of delivery devices and have just recently tried the MT3s and both have stopped being read by the Evic. Says no atomizer found. I tried to pull the pins on them but don't really know how to do it and can't get it to work. So that is my only complaint but that may have more to do with the MT3s than the Evic but my twist does still read those same MT3s.

I saw the voltage graphs he posted on his video, and where it starts showing inaccuracy.

this is sad. They did not test the eVic correctly. Fazed used an Oscilloscope in his video and once he did you could see that the PWM is 120hz which is way higher then everything else. So the meter's everyone used that made it look in-acurate were not reading it at the correct point in it's modulation.

It's as close as all the other PWM devices. The video I linked wasn't the review that showed 120hz it's the 1.1 firmware video where he goes in depth on it

To answer your question about dropping your 70" flat screen, it won't fair so well. You don't want to accidently hit the screen with anything either. I was in the consumer electronic field as a mechanical design engineer for over 30 years, and I can tell you, they are not durable.

I know I was just kidding around with that. Though I did just get one and it is amazing lol. I was just trying to say don't drop it and it is as sturdy as any other one.

A question to the heavy vapers, how long does the stock battery last you? Mine will only last a day before it needs recharging.

I must vape alot because mine does not last me a day though I don't get it fully charged alot of the time but even when I have it doesn't last me all day. All I know is if/when one of the companies I order from picks up the new tubes and 3400 MAH battery I will have one.

In a van ............down by the river
All this talk of dropping.

A bunch of clumsy, ham-fisted, mouth breathers...

You probably put a case on your phone, too, just in case.

I'm lol'ing over here.

I will report back on my eVic findings, just got it today.

I will say this though, I am loving how quickly it was to set up through the computer.

Almost.

Quantum Vapor has one for $72.97 with free shipping.
Discount code is "happyvapreday"

I'll wait until I get one to post a review, but it's funny how everybody get all emotional and defensive about their mods.
Sure, the Provari is sick, and built like a tank, but the LED 2 number screen is laughable compared to the eVic, don't you think?

Do I really care if it's made out of unobtainium, no...I just want it to work.

If you want something really cool that nobody else has, get one of THESE.

Like I said, we can argue which is better looking, or lighter, or shinier, or more light saber looking, but at the end of the day, I just want it to work.

I'm happy you like yours OP.
I tried quantum but they have them for $104. and the code is invalid.
Corevape has 2 for $70 bucks each free shipping. I went ahead and bought the 2 kits because I wanted one back up and my friend loved mine so he wants the other :)

I've dropped mine at least a dozen times off my computer desk onto my carpet. Once or twice it turned off when dropped and I had to turn it back on, but no lasting damage (visible or performance-wise). I've also knocked it over on the kitchen counter a couple times. Seems fine so far.
LOL dude be careful huh? :D
