Since getting the required posts in order to get my banner, I love looking at it and being reminded how long it has been since I quit the stinikies and how many I've avoided. I'd never really thought about how many analogs I smoked before. The banners are a great motivation to me and I wish I could place one on my desktop. BTW, is there a way to do that? :?:

Also, as I said, I like my banner, but I saw one banner that said "how much money 'not spent' on analogs" instead of money saved. This is kind of inaccurate for me because for the last two years of smoking analogs, I was rolling my own which was only costing me about $1.10 per pack. And I know this is arguing semantics, but I'm not really "saving" any money. I mean I'm still spending money on ejuices and such.

Anyone know about the banner of which I speak? Please let me know where it is. Also about the banner on my desktop. That would be so cool!!

Thanks in advance for any help!! Keep on vapin' my friends:vapor:

I'm not sure about the banner, but you're right that it's extremely motivating...especially when the numbers go HIGHER! :)

Before you lose track, I might suggest to also add a running total of your vaping expenses below your sig (see below my sig). I know to the penny how much I've SPENT, as well as how much I've saved. Takes a little effort to begin, but every time I make a purchase, I add it to the total. Also, my expenses include the two PV's I purchased and gave to friends.

vaping looked as if it was going to be very expensive in the beginning, but it def settles out after a few months. Right now, I've got supplies to easily last 6 or more months, and a new eVic coming in the new year. Even so, I've saved enough that I can afford whatever PV I want and not feel 'guilty' at all! :)

GOOD LUCK to ya! Once you have the hardware and flavors that work for you, you'll be totally fine!

Sounds like a good idea! That will also help me keep in-check my spending as well. vaping being so new and exciting to me, I know I've already spent a couple hundred bucks while checking out a few sites. Kinda like "impulse" buying the same way stores put candy bars and such by the check outs...yeah I need/want that, oh that's cool, I think I could use that...etc. I just ordered an upgrade to my battery collection, a Volt X2 1300mAh with matching clearos. My wife keeps track of the check book and was like, "OK, got enough of that e-crap stuff yet?" with a grin. Think that was a subtle hint to stop for a bit ;) But I think once I get her converted to the ecigs, she'll be grateful I have the hardware and juices already on hand and not have to wait for them like I did.

I made a similar comment weeks ago....about the inventor of e cigs.....its a great thing, I tried other methods to quit, but this seems to be the right one, I love vaping, and exporing the flavours. The keys for me so far are throat hit (nic level), and who doesnt like to see a nice cloud of vape....I have not felt the need to grab an analog smoke......Vapor what device are you using.

...how do you put your vaping expenses on the banner.....do we just keep updating and editing our signature.......

yes ;)

I might also mention, the expenses listed below my signature include two ego kits (and eliquid) I purchased as gifts for friends - including ALL shipping fees - so I'm keeping track of ALL expenses related to vaping.

It's so GOOD to see all the new folks here! Yes...this technology changed MY life - THANK GOD!!! :D
It'll change YOUR lives, too!

I love the banner idea as a motivator! That's so cool.

I remember seeing a program a while back that let you use a webpage as your desktop background...Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? I think if you hosted the banner somewhere and then linked directly to the image, you could probably use that software to make your banner into a desktop. Not sure if that's exactly what you mean, but...It's a start. But I can't for the life of me remember what program that was, and Google's not telling. Maybe someone on here remembers?

Also, does anyone know of a banner like this that's for pipe smokers? Because I really don't know how many cigs a bowl equals. XD
