I love vaping! Is this a reaction or something else?

So I've been cigarette free for about 3 weeks, yay!

But, I find I am very anemic-like.

I am covered in bruises and sleepy/tired a lot, tire easily, and kind of brain fogged a tad.

I quit smoking analogs for a longer period once before because I was pregnant/had a new baby. I did not have physical symptoms besides feeling very grouchy for a while after typical 2 day long withdrawal pain, but I did get very depressed and almost a year later started smoking (very sparingly, of course outdoors, while son asleep) again, and I felt quite a bit better.

I am not terribly depressed feeling vaping, but I am napping with my young son, sleeping in, feeling groggy a lot.. none of which I've ever really done (the napping/sleeping in).. I normally have a terrible time napping in the day (even if I really need a nap) and actually tend toward insomnia/not sleeping much in general without my energy level being affected much..

I have been anemic before when I was younger. This feels very similar so I'm taking iron and upped my red meat - but I'll feel better one day and then not the next.

Is this a coincidence perhaps? Quitting smoking and it'll get better/I should give it some time? Or is it possibly an atypical reaction to PG or VG or something?

I'm going to be switching to VG only and trying it out. But if I still feel the same way is a VG reaction possible or would I then go see what's up at the doc? (I want to avoid the doc for a few weeks as I'm between insurances right now).

East coast.
Try caffeine along with vaping... I have hypothyroidism and normally feel VERY tired all throughout the day, but drinking Crystal Light Wild Strawberry (120mg caffeine per pouch) and vaping pretty steadily throughout the day (100% VG 18mg nicotine) I now have exorbitant amounts of energy and it feels amazing! You can google the reactions of caffeine and nicotine and see that they increase metabolism and energy quite well when taken together.

Hope that helps a bit! Wish I could offer more useful information about possible allergies to PG, but I haven't even tried PG or a PG mix yet so...

I felt the very same way.... best thing i did was to start taking vitamin b-12 and folic acid daily. It took about 3 days and then i was back to normal. I haven't totally quit pg, i just add some of my favorite pg flavors into an all vg juice...give the vitamins a try, i am so glad that i did, i really don't ever remember feeling that bad in my whole life. Good luck and i hope you feel better...

I just wanted to report that I feel about 90% better.

I apparently just needed to complain in order to feel better ;)

That's good you're feeling better. I was going to let you know that I've been vaping for over a year now and completely off cigarettes for 5 1/2 months. I've remained groggy and quite tired feeling at times. In fact I sometimes end up sleeping a lot through some days.

It might be the vaping or the snus, but I don't vape that much anymore. I think it may have more to do with trying to do my part to keep vaping available into the future. I spend too much time on the internet and many times too late into the night. I think I'm also suffering from FDA depression.

I have a bleeding disorder and get severely anemic every 3-4 months. My symptoms are bruising, tiredness, leg twitching, foggy in my thought process etc. It sounds like you did the right thing by taking iron supplements but if you're not feeling better in a couple of days, you should see if your doctor will check your iron levels. They can drop pretty fast.
Good Luck!

@ rothen, what is FDA depression? Depressed because of the FDA and their money-loving ways? I think I spend too long online myself! I have my own causes, (I'm a breastfeeding counselor and heavily involved in the NCB community)... heaven help me if I get overly involved in the vaping causes! Eh, I already have too much on my plate, I'd be willing to call someone once per day sounding rather angry, tho. ;)

Nothing worth doing is ever terribly easy. Eh?

@ Remi, thanks. I think the iron definitely helped. I also upped my B vitamins per someones recommendation.. Something did the trick and I've been feeling a lot better.
