I made the peeps cake!

It's a 3 layer devils food chocolate cake with chocolate icing. I used a pack and a half of yellow and orange peeps. The center is baking chocolate shaped like hershys kisses.

Since I had a a bit over half pack of orange peeps left I made a box of yellow cake and mixed vanilla icing in the crumbled up cake together and swished egg shapes out of it. I topped with duncan hines glaze (heat it in the mic and it pours on) it's an icing. Then cut off the p-eeps heads and stuck them on..baby chicks coming out of the egg!

Now all I have left to do is cook the ham and make the beans and salads..oh yeah and make the deviled eggs!
That leaves house cleaning...lol Daugter, her boyfriend and the boys will be here at 1pm.
Sunday I get to do it again with son..but at least he will be thrilled with leftovers and a movie.

Thats ADORABLE Mary Kay!!

Today is my sons birthday party- and although I make custom cakes for a living (think ace of cakes, or Cake boss)- I made him a 'Jello strawberry' cake- LOL

Absolutely nothing against peeps as decorations, they just send my sugar way to high if I eat them. they work great for melting down for rice krispy treats too lol

My grandson ouldn't make it yesterday so he my son and granson's girlfriend are coming today! So instead of just left overs, I get to recreate the meal again! Oh well...fun fun fun until Thanksgiving!
