I am about to make the jump from 808 (Volt) to:
1) a bigger battery
2) better vapor\throat hit.

After deciding I can't justify the cost of the Provari or GG (yet :glare:), I am taking a hard look at something from the Joye eGo line. Instead of impulse buying the eGo-T from Cignot, I have decided to get more feedback and other suggestions.

I've spent hours searching through the forum\YouTube and the eGo-T seems about as divisive and controversial as any vaping model out there. I just want to be as sure as I can.

Also, I love Ry4 and 555 with my Volt. Any eGo-T users who use those (or similar) flavors? It appears that the sweeter juice gunks up the atty and I fear that may the eGo's undoing for me.

ANY feedback on vendors and words form experienced vets would be very appreciated.

I've used a regular eGo non tank from the start. I always am vaping sweets! Hasn't really given me any issues, none I notice anyways. Toasted Marshmallow, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, Red Bull, Grape, Vanilla. I have a divine sweet tooth in need of intervention lol

Liberty Flights seems to still be selling their eGo kits 30% off! Whoa, was not expecting to see that. Dirt cheap right now. I've bought 4 starter kits from them, 1 riva, 3 eGos, and none have given me issues. Great company you might want to consider with bottom barrel starter kit prices. Even their e-go T's are under or about 50$ right now. Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo and you get a 2 month warranty on your batteries. If you want to get an ego-T for better battery life, I would suggest picking up 510 cartomizers as well. A lot of people complain about how the tanks leak. I've never used them myself. Just dripping to try flavors, and cartomizers for all day vaping.

EGo-T kits are pretty good. Just be aware that the tanks tend to mute the flavor somewhat, have some issues with leaking and the eGo batteries run at 3.2-3.4V. On the good side you can use a wide variety of atomizers and cartomizers on the 510 thread, and the large battery capacity will allow you to use low-resistance stuff on it.
Personally I would go with a Riva, KGo or an ePower. They all have batteries that run at about 3.7V and give a better TH and vapor. They are almost identical to the eGo in size/shape, except the ePower which is slightly larger.

If you're going to move up from a volt, I'd recommend something like a kgo or even an echo-e. Both are big batteries, both are 4.2 volts and because of that they're more versatile. You can use low resistance cartos, clearomizers, tanks, and get a good vape. I have an echo-e that I like but the only downside is you need an adaptor to use some cartos.

Epowers sound good, I can't recommend them because I have never tried one. But the whole idea of inexpensive batteries is a great one.

I personally don't recommend an ego-T if your looking for more than your getting from a Volt. Batteries are OK but most tanks mute flavors a great deal unless you have some kind of HV device.

I use an eGo-T and love it... However, I can't stress enough... Get a LR atomizer! They cost around 10$, but well worth it. The difference between the 'normal' atomizer and a LR atomizer for the eGo-T is night and day.

As far as vendors go... Everyone has their favorites... My top three so far are: myvaporstore.com, ............com and vaporleaf.com.

Good luck and vape on!

My problem with the eGo-T is the cost of replacement atomizers. To me, it just seems like paying more for less.
If you want an eGo, get a standard eGo kit, save the nice atomizers to drip with, but toss the cartridges away. Then get a box of LR cartomizers for everyday vaping.

...couldn't agree more, plus the fiddly aspect of getting tanks to work properly...I HATE fiddly stuff.......

Still new myself, but I agree with this. My first vaping experience and I am using the ego-t kit. Vaping for the last two weeks.

I smoked(and inhaled) captain black cigars so needless to say I need a TH. I have some LR catos on order and a LR ego-t atty coming today. I really like the ego-t system and haven't experienced any leaking other than on the wick plate and inside the tank part of the cone. Nothing into the battery or leaking from the device itself. My biggest issue was that I need more vapor and TH to be satisfied. I find I have to hold the button down until it times out to get the kind of toot(is that what we call it here) I enjoy.

Having said that, it is a great system in my experience but just doesn't give me quite what I need in it's stock form. For someone who smoked extra light cigarettes, it would probably be perfect. I don't get any burnt taste that I've heard is common. Wicking is decent but taking time between toots is better. But again, this is all from a total noob who has only used the ego-t so far.

I think you'll be happier with LR cartos.

I liked the ego-T in theory and I was all over it when it first came out. My first atty lasted about a week. My second two I never did get to work properly. I got the nasty burnt plastic taste. I watched the videos, asked a million questions and figured who needs this crap and went back to cartos. They're a no brainer- drip juice in and vape.

I just got an eGo-T (Type-A) last Wednesday so I've been using it for a week now. On Monday I converted it to a Type-B atomizer/tank. So far I'm loving it. Also a 555/RY4 (Bloog|Liquid Fusion) vaper. Like a couple of people have pointed out that the taste does get a bit muted but i can live with that, and I haven't had any leaks (knocks on wood). I still use my Bloog 808's, and Boge Revolution v2.1 but my primary is the eGo-T. I don't have to carry several batteries, and a fist full of carto's. Though using a syringe to fill the tanks can be a drag. I just carry a couple of capped tanks, and I'm good to go.

Thank you for this! Yes, the TH is important to me, but don't want to lose aroma and flavor. Looking for that balance that works for me. I really appreciate the input!

Thank you! As I climb this steep learning curve, I am starting to see the wisdom of drip-testing and cart-by-day-vaping. But an auto drip offers the promise of the best of both worlds - if it works. And if the taste is not muted. And if it doesn't leak, and -- OUCH -- just hurt my brain a little...
