for starters, you will want to have dedicated pairs of batteries for that mod - 'married' sets that stay together (that way, charge/ drain cycles match and one battery does not cause undue strain on the other)

second, WOOT - nice mod :)

keep in mind, it will do TC on Ti and Ni, but not SS

Nice Atty! Do you or spouse know how to roll coils? Very good info at Steam Engine. I use the App several times a week..

And no, I havent gone into building coils yet. In all honesty, I have no idea how to work it except for the basic functions. I have found several reviews online...

I have managed to make myself feel like a noob all over again, lol.

So I had been telling the hubby that I wanted a new mod and he surprised me with a Twisted Messes / Dovpo. Awesome from what I can tell, but a HUGE jump from an eVic VTC mini. Now I have to learn how to do this... Any advice?

You can find lots of videos on youtube on coil building for beginners. You can also buy pre-made coils. What tank are you running on your VTC Mini and what type of coil are you using?

those are GREAT rda's!

keep in mind, you can purchase pre made coils so that you can start by just figuring out the install part :)
advanced vape supply has some really nice pre-made stainless coils (would recommend claptons - but that is just me) and crazy chef over at pure coils makes some beautiful coils as well

The best battery available right now is the LG HG2. And Orbtronic has the best price for them at $6 a piece. It is a solid 20 amp battery with a 3000 Mah capacity. HG2's make up a good 90 percent of my stash of batteries.

OK I just notices you have your setup in your SIG.. "UWELL Crown Black / 60 W / 18650 / SS 0.5Ω"
Like dcfluegel said it won't do SS in temp mode. You might want to see if you can exchange it for something else. Nice setup but might not be right for you unless you don't vape SS in TC mode and you want to get into dripping and building.

+ 1 on the recommendation for Lg 18650 HG2 3000mAh 20 amp batteries.

You don't have to make your own coils until you are "ready", but its not really that hard. If you can braid hair, you can wrap wire around a screwdriver bit. You just have to pick a gauge of wire, use a coil wrap calculator online like Steam Engine's to know how many "wraps" or loops to make a certain ohm or resistance. Then measure the coil on an ohm reader to insure its the resistance your target was, and you're then ready to wick it with some organic cotton or rayon.

I've been vaping since Sept, 2015 and last month I purchased my second RDA a Twisted Messes Squared. It rocks!!! Believe me, you can handle this. I went all in and bought around 2,500+ ft of coil wire, mostly stainless steel 316L and Kanthal A1, as well as premade coils from UD Tech.

Premade coils can be purchased from several sources online. I recommend a few below. At some locations they can be cheap and others very expensive. If you are willing to "COIL" the wire, you can get premade clapton wire

PREMADE COILS
UD Tech Ferris Wheel
CoilMaster
Lightning Vapes
Twisted Messes
My Freedom Smokes

STAINLESS STEEL 316L
TemCo
Kidney Puncher
Lightning Vapes

TemCo is probably going to be your best bet for wire prices, but you will have to coil it. No biggie!!!

We were all new once, don't feel bad or self conscience. One indicator of intelligence is to ask questions. So you are no dummy. You will get this.

It's a little more complicated then smoking, buy cigarettes, lighter and matches and light, but look where that got us :)

You don't have to be a mechanic to drive a car, keep it simple, looks like you have good hardware, keep asking questions and you will master what you need to know in no time at all.

Hey, if you don't like it I will gladly take it off your hands :w00t: ..... Kidding aside, that is some nice gear for sure.
