Have car-chargers Bryn; and if you don't have a car yourself, get a friend or good neighbour who has and will let you use some power from it. Oh and a passthrough that you can smoke from a car-lighter-plug (a device with a usb-plug to put in the lighter, in which you can insert your pass-through).

Also, there are chargers that work on ordinary battery's (transfering power from those bats to your li-ions). Costly, but useful for an emergency-charging perhaps.

Thank you, katink! I didn't think about this one. My bad! I will be ordering car chargers and passthroughs next! The reason I didn't think about this one is because I don't use cell phones due to my profound deafness. I do know about using car chargers for cell phones, but didn't think it applied to e-cigs as well. All righty! Thanks again. :)

When I read other vapers posting, "Don't do it" when you mention smoking real cigs, I am disturbed by the semblance to the anti-smoking brigade. I still smoke cigarettes, about 3 a day. Do what you need to do, but don't feel trapped by e smoking. It will lead you back to smoking cigarettes if you think you can never have one. You can. Just focus on vaping way more than smoking, and when you get your equipment, all will be well again. Remember, we are not supposed to be touting e smoking as a cessation tool. We are advertising it as a smoking alternative. Let's keep doing that.

I think its silly to not call it a quitting device- since so many people do in fact quit. If you're chewing nicotine gum and not smoking, you have quit smoking. I use my pv and I dont smoke, I quit smoking by using this device. I dont think we need to call it a quiting device based only on the FDA thing- but its really like calling a rose by a differnt name. We all know it. So you still smoke but you smoke less, it was a cut down your smoking device for you.:D
Its really odd for me, I dont even think about cigarettes anymore. At all. All other attmpts to quit before this had always ended in a constant thought of having one. Its very freeing!

I know that most who post here have completely quit smoking cigarettes. To them, I offer applause. However, not everyone has done so, and they have done that for many reasons, including a simple desire to continue smoking a few real ones a day. My objection is not to either of those choices but rather to the bombardment of panic stricken advice mongers when someone has run out of e cig stuff and considers having real cigs while he/she waits. I like e cigs because they offer a choice, one that all of us are free to make. When I hear the voices that resemble anti smokers, I shudder that vapers are actually becoming anti smokers as they remain stuck to the inhalation of nicotine. I find that dangerous to the choices we now have and hypocritical.

That's why I became a hoarder. I have 3 DES901's and 6 510's and one penstyle to be sure I will never go back to analog. I order extra batteries and attys once a month. Cheaper than a carton of cigs, tho.

There's one thing I still worry about. When power goes out too long due to storms..what will I do? Once I was out of power for 2 weeks in Miami and here in Arkansas...4 days last summer when tropical storm came.

I got a Socket 7200mah USB Power pack. I used it for a full day with a passthrough so far without needing a charge. I'm hoping to get a least 3 full days worth of vaping charge out of it (maybe more, we'll see). There are 1000mah power packs that will work, but won't last as long between each charge. I live in FL also and with hurricane season upon us, I decided it was the way to go. I have an inverter so I can charge it in my car if we lose power. It has a leather case with a belt clip which makes it handy to walk around the house, take in the car, etc. The only time I use my batteries is when I'm in public because I can't bring myself to walk around town all wired up. The Sockets are expensive, over $100.00 new, but I got mine used off E-Bay for $40.00 and it works great. :D

ITA...thankfully, to me, an analog doesn't even sound good and that's only after about 20 days of vaping. I plan to keep ordering extra supplies because even though I am all set right now, I'm fairly certain that all of my batteries and atomizers will go at the same time (Murphy's Law). I have plenty of juice so that'll never be a problem, even if I only had one cart left, I could make that last forever if I had to.

I wonder if you could boil the nicotine juice and breathe in over the pot (lol).

I also have that fear that if my supply of ecig batteries, liquids and attys run out, I might light an analog. And this might trigger me back to smoking.
That is why I am well stocked up (for 6 months).
So far I have spent almost US$2000. I feel it is worth it if I can probably add 7 more years to my life. That's what they say if you are a non-smoker.

maskgeek, ITA. Since this is all new to me, I'm pretty much on these boards and the e-cig web sites several times a day. I ALWAYS end up finding something new that I want to buy so I'll start out by adding a few things to my cart then I'm, like, "well, since I'm aaalready ooorderring..." My hope is that I have tons of supplies stockpiled so I never have to worry about a bad battery or atty. Also, I have tried not to pay too much attention to how much it costs versus smoking analogs - I'm happy now.

Depending on how one defines nicotine, and looking at the number of views on a post compared to people actually posting, do we really know how successful these "devices" are?

It could be that the far majority of those who tried vaping simply dismissed it and went back to analogues.

I may have quit analogues, but I have no idea how long I will be addicted to nicotine. I don't like being addicted to ANYTHING, and my hope is that I can enjoy vaping with 0 nicotine SOME DAY. SOME DAY I may quit vaping too. I don't like being dependent on ANYTHING.

These are some of the statistics I would like to see. It is purely anecdotal so far.

Sorry, just playing devil's advocate!

P.S. I was a 3 pack a day chain smoker who still is addicted to a high amount of Nic. I am fairly certain my consumption of nicotine has increased since quitting analogues. Since I don't know for sure, I don't really care :D The GOOD thing is that I probably (really!) would not notice the difference between a low nic juice or36mg juice I use now--Which is nice...
