UPDATED: Read from Post #44 (page 5) and on :)

It has been quite a while since Ihave been on this site last. I need a huge update on where everything is at.

Back when I first started, The first 510's were out, remember the automatic battery? Yeah.. Then I thought I was awesome cus I went to thagbuilt.com and bought myself a chuck, and ran it at 6 volts stacking 2, 123A batteries on it, with a duel coil carto on it. (The ones that hold like 12 drops)

Any that was my main device for a long long time, Then my ex girlfriend stole it from me.. So now im using this ego-c twist, and a kanger pro tank... And I am NOT SATISFIED. At all.. The clouds of smoke from this compared to my 6v chuck is night and day.

Now I am trying to read about all these k100, cloud chasing coil drip mods... And im confused.. Especially confused about how they run off 18650's and get so much vapor...I remember when I had mine running at 3.7 it sucked, and I had to bump it up to 6v to get the (Big at the time) clouds of smoke... But now you can do the same with a 3.7v battery? I. Am. Lost....

I want to be a cloud chaser... haha I dont even know where to begin..

I dont want to have to drip every 4 rips.... (10-15 rips would be nice)
I dont want to go all crazy trying to make diamond, quadruple, Single wire coils for fun...(Although Ill probably end up dong it anyway)

Things have come a long way since my chuck and carto... And I hate my ego. Someone point me in the right direction to learn all this new ISH. OR at least help me out to figure what to get for a new "Starter Kit".

Vape On.

ALSO!!! WHAT is this I hear about E-cigs getting banned in Cali?????!!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?U(*&#%(*#&%(#*&

2) Sick of paying 24 bux for juice at the local store. I want to start dong some DIY and buying in bulk so I can make 30ml bottles for like 20 cents... Where to start?

Wizard Labs is great for DIY. Bought everything I needed for under $65, added on a few purchases to get free shipping. Just buy: Nic Base 60mg (if new, can up to 100 when more comfortable), PG, VG, Flavorings, one syringe for each: PG/VG/Nic 3ml, and one for each flavor 1ml, two low gauge blunt needles, the rest in the 20 gauge area, a bunch of 5ml-30ml plastic bottles, some gloves (not all use these, but I do as I'm new at it). You could also get a couple graduated cylinders if you desire. Don't forget a tool box to store stuff and an ecig calculator.

Im just really lost with all this new stuff... I remember throwing in an 18650 battery in my chuck and it would vape for 2 days. Now there is all this ohm conversion and calculations, and a battery only lasts for an hour or 2?

I want a fog machine that lasts all day. This little ego-C and kanger tank just aint cutting it. I want choo choo train clouds. And something that has a little bit of a tank on it, so I dont have to re-fill after every 3-5 hits.

And also people are reviewing that some MODS hit better than others? I thought that a MOD is just a housing for a battery? Why would that affect the HIT at all? I am so freaking confused.... I want the clouds though. I WANT IT! haha.

I need a middle of the road, Lots of vapor (10x more than the ego that I have, I want tweak clouds), Lasts all day, Built like a tank, type of mod that I will be happy with for 3+ years.... That's what I need a recommendation for...

please dont get into cloud chasing. go for one of the kanger mini protank 2's or 3's and something like a vision spinner 2 or an itaste. youll can get huge vapor regardless off of those devices and its much less mess.

theres also many places now that do interesting things with mainly vg mixes if you really need more vapor. the cloud chasing crap is gonna catch up to people in regard to their lung capacity i believe. not only is it unnecessary but now it seems like people chase cloud but vape 3mg or 6mg juice and all the while vaping gets more and more stigmatized because of people feeling a need to go for lower ohm setups. its unnecessary in relation to the enjoyment you can get out of vaping altogether when you take into account the whole point of vaping in a nutshell, its not about the vapor or the device. i think it should be all about the taste and getting the level of nic you need first and foremost.

Iv ran little set up's, and a bigger mod, and a whole range of juice from 0 - 36mg when I first started. (Even was getting my own made at 50mg when I first stopped smoking real cigs when i was using the first 510's!)

The vapor production / Taste (IMO) is where its at. Now that im on a higher-end version of the "daily user" type of device. It really does suck.

I dont plan on going nuts with the cloud chasing. That why I said middle of the road. I dont want to build some crazy low .5omh device just for kicks. I want a good mix between vape, Flavor and batt life.

And No, You cant get a big hit of a pro-tank set up and and ego. (Hahaha) I loled at the post above this. - No hit I have ever taken with this set up has ever come close to my old set up. That thing was a fog machine, and it wasnt even sub-ohm. So im sure I can find a decent balance without going NUTS on a cloud chasing build.

I would recommend a itaste MVP with a kayfun clone. That's my setup and I can make some pretty decent clouds with it. I run a 1.3-1.4 ohm coil in it at 11w I also have a v5 vamo which uses the 18650 batts but I find that one usually just sits at home.

same as me with the mvp, kayfun lite and taifun gt clones. they give off good vapour and throat hit etc with a 1.2-1.5 coil build on full wack. im loving mines but getting myself a nemesis clone with a couple 30a sony batteries and a new RDA soon hopefully for my birthday :):):)

A true cloud chasing setup includes a RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer) A Helios RDA a mechanical mod and most important a Sony VTC5
battery & an ohm meter is a good start IMO this isn't an all day Vape but a novelty item to make big clouds
If you are looking for a great all around setup that can produce a reasonable amount of vapour and loads of flavour A Kayfun Lite +
( Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) Pair it up with a Provari and you have an Epic setup
also DIYing your own juice is the best move any vapour can make there is an initial investment but it' gravy after that :)

REO?

PS. Thanks for the recommendations! I ended up reading all about the sub ohm vaping, and it looks like thats just wayyyyy too much for me. Building all this stuff and boiling cotton and yada yad..

Im feel like thats what im looking for, something more along the lines of a kfun lite and a (provari?)

I dont mind needing to make a coil every now and again, but it looks like these guys are building new coils every hour? ...?

Or am I misunderstanding this? Do you build a set up and then it lasts a long time? Or do you need to replace the coil often?

info overload last night.. GD!

yes vaping has changed drastically, at least hobby level vaping has...

i started 2 years after you and it has changed a lot since 2011

the main thing is people have now gone to rebuilding and making their own coil and wicks....its not all that hard to do but does take a few practice runs to get it down

someone else recommended a REO to you and I would highly encourage you to try that out....they make the ReoMizer 2.0 which is a small rebuildable that is rather uncomplicated to build on and maintain with cotton wicks....search on youtube for super x's RM2 videos and he'll show you how to do it...from there you will just get better at it

its about a 200$ set up, but well worth it...its all i ever use anymore because it hits so conconsistenly well and is dirt cheap to maintain once you buy the REO equipment

it has the added benefit of having none of the sub ohm safety issues...you can microcoil at 1.25-1.5 and have a mighty fine cloud machine without worrying about blowing the side of your face off

good luck

A REO is a semi-automatic dripper;
also called a 'bottom feeder' because instead of holding your drip bottle separately and drip from above, the bottle is attached in the container below and squirts upward.

Squonk!

The Kayfuns are bottom coil rebuildables; faster to get setup the first time than the genesis type

I like this.. This sounds more my speed. So an REO is different that an RBA? Or They are ALL RBA's. Just the REO and the kayfun are different?

Jesus I feel like an idiot..I remember when I was giving everyone advice and getting my grandmother to switch to vape in 2008. Ahh god.
