I've been camping a while but this is my first forum. I have a smok m80 with a nautilus mini and a aspire triton. When I smoke out of either of my tanks I get an awful taste. Not like a burnt coil taste just a terrible taste. When other people smoke out of my tanks they don't taste anything weird at all. I've tried multiple flavors I usually smoke and they all taste terrible. I'm assuming I have some sort of version of vapors tounge but, when I smoke out of someone else's tank I can tast their flavors. I have given my nautilus a thourough cleaning and now can taste a very faintly. I just wanted to make sure I don't have to get new tanks or some sort of extreme cleaning device.

have you tried doing an overnight soak on the tanks in pga or vodka? then hot water rinse and air dry
what is the pg/vg ratio on the juice you are vaping and what wattage are you running those tanks at, respectively? those are two VERY different tanks to vape on (nautilus likely 1.8ohm coils, tight airflow... triton has greater airflow and a number of coil options, mostly sub-ohm I believe - which coil are you using in triton)

I haven't tried that mostly because I am not sure what type of alcohol to use. I run my nautilus at 10 watts usually and I use a 1.8ohm coil in my triton and run it at 18 usually.
My triton is drying over night currently.
My liquid is 50/50.
I saw on anther thread that some go up to 65/35 but i'm not sure my shop carries something like that.

What it sounds like to me is you have a wicking issue. When my Kafuns are not wicking the right amount of juice they taste pretty bad.

So I try his, using the same juice, same tank, and it tastes different.
I'd second the possible wicking issue, but if it wasn't wicking, then it would be tasting burnt. And you can't miss that taste.
Peoples tastes change. I used to love a particular vanilla custard juice, but now it just tastes like ashes in my mouth. But I switch to another companies basically equivalent vanilla custard juice and it tastes great. Sometimes it takes months of using a juice for it to just never taste right, sometimes it never happens, and sometimes I've gotten halfway through a bottle of stuff that tastes so great it's going in the ADV category and it turns on me before I even finish the first bottle.
Vaping is weird sometimes.
